The BSc. Horticulture (Hons.) students of College of Horticulture, Central University, Pondicherry visited ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture on 9th November,2022 along with Dr. A. Shanti, Professor (Horticulture) during an educational tour. A brief interaction meeting was held in the committee room and Dr. A. Shanti introduced the group and shared the aspirations of the students. Thereafter, Dr. D. Pandey Director of the institute briefed about the institute activities and achievements. After interaction meeting, students visited institute museum where Dr. P.L. Saroj and Dr. Maneesh Mishra explained various exhibits, varieties and technologies developed at the institute, initiation of natural farming, value added products, flagship programmes, extension activities etc. Students took special interest in models of mango varieties displayed in the museum. They also visited the experimental fields along with Dr. P.K. Shukla and Dr. Muthu Kumar and gained knowledge about various ongoing experiments. The visit was coordinated by Dr. P. L. Saroj, Principal Scientist & Head, Division of Crop Production, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow.
