The three-day training program titled Training on Scientific Beekeeping for CISF Personnel was held at the Division of Post Harvest Management (PHM), ICAR-CISH, Lucknow from September 25 to 27, 2024. The program aimed to equip CISF personnel with valuable insights and knowledge in the field of beekeeping. The event began with a welcome address by Dr.Akath, Head of PHM at ICAR-CISH, followed by a visit to the farm of OP Maurya. In the evening session, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh delivered a lecture on general beekeeping practices. On the second day and third day, Dr. Ningthoujam Samarendra Singh, a scientist, provided an informative lecture on the fundamentals of scientific beekeeping and honey testing, highlighting essential techniques and procedures. Additionally, Dr. Snehasish Routray presented a detailed discussion on pest and disease management in beekeeping. Dr. Alok Gupta concluded the program with a lecture on horticultural crops related to beekeeping, covering topics such as successful honey bee rearing, honey production, and the significance of beekeeping as a sustainable source of income. Overall, the training program saw active participation from CISF personnel, who greatly benefited from the expertise, shared by the esteemed speakers and gained valuable insights to enhance their beekeeping practices for improved productivity and sustainability
