भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ में जनता कॉलेज बकेवर, इटावा, उत्तर प्रदेश के छात्रों का भ्रमण

A group of 106 students of B.Sc. (Ag) VIII Semester and five faculty members of Janta College Bakewar, Etawah Uttar Pradesh visited the ICAR- Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture on May 05,2022. During the visit, an interactive session was also organized. Dr. (Mrs.) Neelima Garg, Director, ICAR-CISH apprised the students of the institute activities and improved varieties of mango, guava, bael and jamun and high density planting of mango and guava. She delivered a lecture on post-harvest management of subtropical fruits and preparation of various value added products of mango, guava, bael, jamun, aonla and other subtropical fruits. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Principal Scientist also delivered lecture on various technologies developed by the institute like grafting methods, rejuvenation technology in mango, canopy management of fruit crops, insect pest and diseases of mango.

During interactive session with the scientists, the queries of students were also replied. The students visited the experimental fields. During the visit, Dr. Naresh Babu, Principal Scientist and Dr. Vishambhar Dayal, Scientist discussed espalier architecture, container gardening for growing fruit crops of papaya, guava, pomegranate, bagging methods of mango and guava fruits and polyhouse cultivation. Techniques of high density planting and drip irrigation system in mango were also demonstrated to the students during visit of experimental field. Dr. Naresh Babu, Principal Scientist and Dr. Vishambhar Dayal, Scientist coordinated the visit of students.
