Three hundred (300) students of class IX to XII along with six teaching staff from Government Girls Inter College, Malihabad, Lucknow Uttar Pradesh visited the ICAR–CISH in two batches on December 26 & 27, 2022 as a part of their education tour. Scientist explained to them about ongoing research activities of the institute. Field visit was also organized to apprise them of institute technologies like improved varieties of mango, guava, bael and jamun, high density planting of mango & guava, rejuvenation & canopy management of mango and guava for quality production, Espalier & container gardening of fruit crops of guava, pomegranate, orange, lime etc. and protected cultivation of vegetables. biotic and abiotic stress and their management, weed management, crop regulation in guava, mulching, micro irrigation, organic farming, crop diversification, intercropping in orchards for increasing production and profit per unit area of land and importance of nutrition of fruit & vegetables in human health. During the visit of fruit processing laboratory, Er. D.K. Shukla, CTO explained them value addition of mango and guava, Dr. Naresh Babu, Principal Scientist, Mr. Arvind Kumar, ACTO and Md. Afroj Sultan, Technical Officer coordinated the visit.
