सैम हिगिनबॉटम कृषि, प्रौद्योगिकी एवं विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय, प्रयागराज के छात्रों का भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ का भ्रमण

सैम हिगिनबॉटम कृषि, प्रौद्योगिकी एवं विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय, प्रयागराज, उत्तर प्रदेश के चार संकाय सदस्यों के साथ बीएससी (कृषि) अंतिम वर्ष के सौ छात्रों ने दिनांक 20 एवं 21 अक्टूबर को दो बैचों में भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं. के विभिन्न शोध इकाइयों और प्रयोगात्मक क्षेत्रों का भ्रमण किया। भ्रमण के दौरान, छात्रों को संस्थान की विकसित तकनीकों जैसे कि पुराने आम के बागों का जीर्णोद्धार, आम एवं अमरूद की सघन बागवानी, सब्जियों की ऊर्ध्वाधर खेती, आम में अनियमित फलन के प्रबंधन, अंतरफसल, अमरूद की एस्पालियर बागवानी एवं कंटेनर बागवानी, कीट एवं रोगों का एकीकृत प्रबंधन, ग्राफ्टिंग, रोपण विधि, आम एवं अमरूद की उन्नत किस्मों, फसल विविधीकरण, सब्जियों की संरक्षित खेती आदि के बारे में अवगत कराया गया। फल प्रसंस्करण प्रयोगशाला, सूक्ष्म जीव विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला एवं मृदा विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला के भ्रमण के दौरान डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, डॉ. गोविंद कुमार, वैज्ञानिक एवं डॉ. वी.के. सिंह, मु.त.अ. ने उन्हें आम और अमरूद के मूल्यवर्धन, बागवानी फसलों के लिए सूक्ष्मजीवों के विकास और मिट्टी के नमूनों के संग्रह और विश्लेषण के बारे में बताया। डॉ. नरेश बाबू, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक और श्री अरविंद कुमार, स.मु.त.अ. ने छात्रों के भ्रमण का समन्वयन किया।

One hundred (100) students of B.Sc (Agriculture) final year along with four faculty members from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Naini, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh visited the ICAR-CISH in two batches on October 20 and 21, 2021. During the visit, students were apprised about Institute’s developed technologies like rejuvenation of old mango orchards, high density planting of mango and guava, vertical farming of vegetables, management of irregular bearing in mango, intercropping, espalier and container gardening of guava, integrated management of insect and diseases, improved varieties of mango and guava, grafting, planting methods, crop diversification, protected cultivation of vegetables, etc.. During the visit of fruit processing laboratory, microbiology laboratory and soil science laboratory, Dr. Neelima Garg, Principal Scientist, Dr. Govind Kumar, Scientist and Dr. V.K. Singh, Chief Technical Officer explained them value addition of mango and guava, development of microbial bio inoculants for horticultural crops and collection and analysis of soil samples respectively. Dr. Naresh Babu, Principal Scientist and Mr. Arvind Kumar, ACTO coordinated the visit.
