As we are aware that India is going to ban single-use plastics by next year as part of its efforts to reduce pollution — but experts say the move is only a first step to mitigate the environmental impact. The ban on most of single-use plastics will take effect from July 1, 2022. As part of Swachchh Bharat Initiative during the Swachhta Pakhwada activities (December 16-31, 2021), small info-graphic material was created on curbing use of single use plastic for awareness. This material was sent to all the staff members. Drive was conducted to segregate different types of plastic garbage from the campus so that use of plastic is discouraged in the office. Composting of kitchen and home waste materials, promoting clean & green technologies and organic farming practices in new area was also conducted.
