ICAR-CISH, Lucknow participated in the post-budget webinar on Agriculture and Cooperatives conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Government of India on 24th February 2023. It was the second of a series of 12 post-budget webinars. The event was addressed by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He informed that Agricultural budget has now been increased to more than 125000 crores today. The prime minister highlighted that about Rs. Two lakh crores were spent on sum of all agricultural imports and it will be a win-win situation if somehow, we manage to save this money. He emphasized that various important decisions are being taken in agricultural budget in the direction, of making nation becomes atmanirbhar and the money used for imports can reach our farmers. He further mentioned the Digital Public Infrastructure platform and open platform of UPI for the agriculture sector announced in the budget this year. The prime minister proposed the accelerator fund for agri-tech start-ups. He added that Agri-Tech domains have immense possibilities of investment and innovation as India inhabits more 3000 agri-startups today. Furthermore the prime minister informed that government is working on the PM Pranam Yojana and Gobardhan Yojana for promoting natural farming and reducing chemical-based farming. The webinar was attended by the Director Dr. T. Damodaran and scientists Dr. H.S. Singh, Dr. Devendra Pandey Dr. S.R. Singh Dr. Maneesh Mishra, Dr. P.K. Shukla and Dr. Anil Kumar Verma. Ram Kishor Maurya, Society for Conservation of Mango Diversity Lucknow and Sh. Upendra Singh Avadh Aam Utpadak Ewam Bagwani Smiti Lucknow attended the programme and interacted with institute scientists on digitization of horticulture.

केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने 24 फरवरी 2023 को कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय भारत सरकार द्वारा आयोजित कृषि और सहकारिता पर पोस्ट बजट वेबिनार में भाग लिया। यह द्वितीय श्रृंखलाका का 12 पोस्ट-बजट वेबिनार था। इस कार्यक्रम को प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने संबोधित करते हुए बताया कि कृषि बजट बढ़कर 125000 करोड़ से अधिक हो गया है। प्रधान मंत्री ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि कुल सभी कृषि आयातों पर लगभग दो लाख करोड़ रुपये खर्च हुए यदि किसी प्रकार से हम इस खर्च को बचा पाने में सफल हो जाए तो यह एक बड़ा लाभ होगा। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि देश को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की दिशा में कृषि बजट में कई महत्वपूर्ण फैसले लिए जा रहे हैं जिससे आयात का पैसा हमारे किसानों तक पहुंच सके। उन्होंने आगे इस वर्ष बजट में घोषित कृषि क्षेत्र के लिए डिजिटल पब्लिक इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर प्लेटफॉर्म और यूपीआई के खुले मंच का उल्लेख किया। प्रधान मंत्री ने कृषि-प्रौद्योगिकी स्टार्ट-अप के लिए त्वरक निधि का प्रस्ताव रखा। उन्होंने कहा कि एग्री-टेक डोमेन में निवेश और नवाचार की अपार संभावनाएं हैं क्योंकि भारत में आज 3000 से अधिक कृषि-स्टार्टअप हैं। इसके अलावा, प्रधानमंत्री ने बताया कि सरकार प्राकृतिक खेती को बढ़ावा देने और रासायनिक आधारित खेती को कम करने के लिए पीएम प्रणाम योजना और गोवर्धन योजना पर काम कर रही है। वेबिनार में संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. टी. दामोदरन और वैज्ञानिक डॉ. एच.एस. सिंह डॉ. देवेंद्र पाण्डेय, डॉ. एस.आर. सिंह डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा डॉ. पी.के. शुक्ला और डॉ. अनिल कुमार वर्मा ने भाग लिया। इस मौके पर प्रगतिशील किसानों को बातचीत के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया। श्री दयाशंकर सिंह इरादा फाउंडेशन लखनऊ श्री शोभाराम केला उत्पादक अयोध्या श्री दीपक शुक्ला आम उत्पादक सीतापुर श्री राम किशोर मौर्य, आम की विविधता के संरक्षण के लिए सोसायटी लखनऊ और श्री उपेन्द्र सिंह अवध आम उत्पादक एवं बगवानी समिति लखनऊ ने कार्यक्रम में सम्मलित हुए और संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों से बागवानी पर चर्चा की
