उत्तर प्रदेश के उन्नाव जिले के 30 किसानों के एक समूह ने 17 जनवरी, 2024 को आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ का भ्रमण किया। वैज्ञानिक-किसान संवाद बैठक आयोजित की गई और खाद्य और पोषण सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने में फलों और सब्जियों के महत्व पर चर्चा की गई। उपोष्णकटिबंधीय फल उत्पादन, संरक्षण और कटाई के बाद मूल्य संवर्धन की तकनीकों का किसानों तक प्रसार किया गया। नदी घाटियों में सब्जी उत्पादन के वैज्ञानिक तरीके और जैविक सब्जी की खेती के बारे में बताया गया। किसानों को ड्रिप सिंचाई सह मल्चिंग के साथ बेल और आंवला जैसे कम उपयोग वाले फलों को उगाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया गया। दशहरी, मल्लिका, आम्रपाली जैसी आम की किस्मों की वैज्ञानिक खेती प्रस्तुत की गई। किसानों को फल सुरक्षा और आय के लिए पूसा रौनक टिंडा (डीआरएम-26), पूसा हाइब्रिड-4 करेला, पूसा चेरी टमाटर-2 और थार अमृत (उच्च उपज देने वाला शरीफा) जैसी नई जारी उच्च उपज वाली सब्जी किस्मों को उगाने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया। गुणवत्तापूर्ण उत्पादन के लिए फलों की फसलों में ड्रिप सिंचाई के माध्यम से नमी संरक्षण के महत्व को समझाया गया। आईसीएआर-फ्यूसिकॉन्ट का उपयोग करके केले में फ्यूजेरियम विल्ट के प्रबंधन के महत्व पर चर्चा की गई। संस्थान द्वारा विकसित प्रौद्योगिकियों पर हिंदी साहित्य किसानों के बीच वितरित किया गया। क्षेत्र भ्रमण के दौरान, संस्थान द्वारा आम और अमरूद के बागों में विकसित प्रौद्योगिकियों का प्रदर्शन किया गया। डॉ. नरेश बाबू (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक) और डॉ. तरूण अदक (वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक) ने व्याख्यान दिया और किसानों से बातचीत की। डॉ. नरेश बाबू (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक) और डॉ. तरूण अदक (वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक) ने संवाद बैठक और भ्रमण का समन्वय किया।

A group of 30 farmers from Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh visited ICAR-CISH, Lucknow on January 17, 2024. Scientist-Farmers interaction meeting was organized and Importance of fruits and vegetables in ensuring food and nutritional security was discussed. Technologies of subtropical fruit production, protection and post harvest value addition were disseminated to farmers. The scientific ways of vegetable production in river basins and organic vegetable cultivation was explained. Farmers were encouraged to grow underutilized fruits like bael and aonla with drip irrigation cum mulching. Scientific cultivation of mango varieties like Dashehari, Mallika, Amrapali were presented. Farmers were motivated to grow newly released high yielding vegetable varieties like Pusa Raunak Tinda (DRM-26), Pusa Hybrid-4 bitter gourd, Pusa Cherry Tomatoes-2 and Thar Amrit (high yielding custard apple) for fruit security and income. Importance of moisture conservation through drip irrigation in fruit crops for quality production was explained. Importance of management of Fusarium wilt in Banana using ICAR-Fusicont was discussed. Hindi literatures on institute developed technologies were distributed among farmers. During field visits, institute technologies in mango and guava orchards were demonstrated. Dr. Naresh Babu (Principal Scientist) and Dr. Tarun Adak (Senior Scientist) delivered lectures and interacted with the farmers and co-ordinated the visit.
