भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान में मध्यान्ह भोजन योजनान्तर्गत विद्यालयों में किचन गार्डन विकसित किये जाने हेतु कार्यशाला का आयोजन
भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेड़ा में मध्यान्ह भोजन योजनान्तर्गत विद्यालयों में किचन गार्डन विकसित किये जाने हेतु दिनांक 09.08.2019 को एक कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यशाला में संस्थान के वैज्ञानिको के अलावा मध्याह्न भोजन प्राधिकरण के अधिकारियों, 15 अन्य विद्यालयों के प्रतिनिधियो, छात्रों, मिड-डे मील के रसोइयों ने भी भाग लिया। इस कार्यशाला का मुख्य उद्देश्य मिड-डे मील प्राधिकरण द्वारा उठाए जाने वाले विभिन्न मुद्दों के समाधान के लिए संभावित तरीकों को जानना था, जिससे कि ग्रामीण और शहरी परिस्थितियों के अनुरूप मिड-डे मील योजना के उचित कार्यान्वयन के लिए एक कुशल मॉडल विकसित करने हेतु उनका मार्गदर्शन करने में भा.कृ.अनु.प.-के.उ.बा. सं. की भूमिका तय की जा सके। कार्यशाला के दौरान, संस्थान के निदेशक, डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन ने हितधारकों के साथ विद्यालयों में सब्जी उगाने में उनकी कथित समस्याओं पर भी चर्चा की तथा मध्याह्न भोजन प्राधिकरण के अधिकारियों द्वारा इस सन्दर्भ में दिशानिर्देश बनाने में विभिन्न तकनीकी और वित्तीय मुद्दों पर अपनी राय रखी। संस्थान के प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. आर.ए. राम ने विद्यालयों में जैविक कचरे से उपयोगी उत्पाद के रूपांतरण पर एक प्रस्तुति दी। इसके अलावा प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. एस.आर. सिंह ने भी फसल मॉडल, फसल कैलेंडर, विभिन्न परिस्थितियों में उगने वाली फसलों की संभावना एवं विभिन्न गतिविधियों के लिए आवश्यक बजट पर एक प्रस्तुति दी।
A workshop was organized on 09.08.2019 at ICAR-CISH, Rehmankhera for developing kitchen garden in schools under mid-day meal scheme. The scientists of the Institute, officer of mid-day meal authority, representative of 15 schools, students and mid-day meal cooks were participated in the workshop. The main objective of this workshop was to find out possible ways to address various issues raised by the mid-day meal authority, so as to decide the role of ICAR-CISH in guiding them to develop an efficient model to suit rural and urban conditions for the proper implementation of the mid-day meal plan. During the workshop, Director, ICAR-CISH, Dr. Shailendra Rajan discussed with the stakeholders their perceived problems in vegetable cultivation in schools and in this regard he gave them his opinion on various technical and financial issues in making guidelines by the officer of mid day meal authority. Dr. R.A. Ram, Principal Scientist gave a presentation on the conversion of organic waste to useful product in schools. Dr. S.R. Singh, Principal Scientist also made a presentation on crop model, crop calendar, possibility of crops growing under different condition and the budget required for various activities.
