Swachhata pledge was conducted on 17th September, 2024 where 50 of staff of ICAR-CISH, Lucknow participated. A door to door campaign, focused group discussion was organized in the village Belgarha, Malihabad, Lucknow to increase awareness about cleanliness. 50 villagers have actively participated. Plantation program was also organized to plant fruit trees of mango, bael and aonla under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam. The institute also organized dialogues and discussions on promoting awareness and community involvement in cleanliness initiatives at Primary School, Vill. Kanar, Malihabad, Lucknow. Human chain was also organized. Conducted effort to engage and impactful activity on ‘Swachhata Ki Pathshala’ at Pragatisheel Inter College, Nai Basti, Dhaneva, Malihabad, Lucknow to promote cleanliness and sanitation awareness among students, fostering a sense of responsibility towards personal and community hygiene. Around 10 staff of ICAR-CISH, Lucknow took cleanliness drive at main offices buildings and at bye pass of Lucknow-Agra highway. Identified black spots behind Processing Laboratory and conducted cleanliness drive. Swachhata /cleanliness drives were also conducted at main gate of ICAR-CISH, Lucknow with 20 staffs. Site Transformation & maintenance at main Gate of ICAR-CISH, Lucknow was also completed. On 28th September, 2024, PPE Kits and safeguards were distributed among the hygiene workers of the institute. The workers were sensitized to follow safety measures and sanitation protocols while performing their duty. On the occasion of Swachhta Bharat Diwas (2nd October, 2024), ICAR-CISH Lucknow organized various activities promoting cleanliness and hygiene. The event highlighted the importance of a clean environment and sustainable practices. Staff and students participated in a cleanliness drive, ensuring that the campus remained pristine. The Nodal Officer, Dr. Deepak Singh, Head, Crop Protection and Member Secretary, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Scientist compiled and submitted the report on time.
