ICAR-CISH participated and displayed it’s technologies show case exhibition stall in the two days workshop on “Cultivation of aromatic & Medicinal plants in Uttar Pradesh” organised by State Agriculture Management Institute(SIMA) at own Rehmankhera campus, Lucknow on March 22-23, 2022. Workshop was inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi through online, Dr. Pankaj Tripathi, Director, SIMA, Rehmankhera presided the function On March 22, 2022. Several experts were discussed about possibilities, challenges and solutions of cultivation of aromatic & medicinal plants in U.P. Dr. Neelima Garg, Dircetor, ICAR-CISH delivered lecture on value addition of medicinal plants for health and wealth. An exhibition was also arranged related agricultural technologies during the workshop. Workshop was concluded on March 23, 2022 an evening, Shri Alok Sinha Agriculture Production Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, he also visited CISH exhibition stall and shown interest in fruit based probiotic drinks, herbal tea tablets, mango fibres and improved varieties of Bael. Several dignitaries Director SIMA, Rehmankhera, Ex Director and Dy. Directors of SIMA, farmers and entrepreneurs were visited the stall and they were aware about institute’s developed technologies. Dr. Devendra Pandey, Principal Scientist, Dr. S.K. Shukla, Principal Scientist, Shri Sanjay Kumar, CTO, Arvind Kumar, ACTO participated in the event.
