A Group of 34 farmers including 5 women from 17 blocks of Saran district of Bihar visited the ICAR CISH, Lucknow on December 8, 2022. during the visit farmers were apprised of institute s technologies like improved varieties of mango, guava, bael, jamun, canopy management, high density planting of mango, container gardening of fruits crops, espalier system of guava, protected cultivation of vegetables, crop regulation of guava, begging of fruits, drip irrigation, integrated management of insect pest and diseases of mango, intercropping in mango orchard, crop diversification, nutrient management planting methods for establishment of orchard. the importance of fruits and vegetable in human health was also discussed in detail with the farmers. this visit was sponsored by ATMA Saran and district Bihar in collaboration with Indira Gandhi institute of cooperative management, Rajajipuram, Lucknow. Dr. Naresh Babu, Principal Scientist Dr. Tarun Adak Sr. Scientist and Shri Arvind Kumar, ACTO coordinated the visit.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान रेहमानखेड़ा लखनऊ में दिनांक 8 दिसंबर 2022 को बिहार के सारण जिले के 17 विकास खंडों की 5 महिलाओं सहित 34 किसानों के एक समूह ने संस्थान का दौरा किया इस दौरान किसानों को आम अमरूद बेल जामुन की उन्नत किस्में और संस्थान द्वारा विकसित तकनीकों से अवगत कराया गया। कैनोपी प्रबंधन, आम की सघन बागवानी, फलों की कंटेनर बागवानी अमरूद की स्पेलियर प्रणाली, सब्जियों की संरक्षित खेती की तकनीक, अमरूद का फसल विनिमयन, फलों की थैलाबंदी, ड्रिप सिंचाई, कीट का एकीकृत प्रबंधन आम के रोग, आम के बागों में अंत:फसलन, फसल विविधीकरण, पोषण प्रबंधन एवं बाग की स्थापना के लिए रोपण विधि की जानकारी दी गई। मानव स्वास्थ्य फल और सब्जियों के महत्व की भी किसानों से विस्तार से चर्चा की गई। यह यात्रा इंदिरा गांधी सहकारी प्रबंध संस्थान, राजाजीपुरम, लखनऊ आत्मा सरण जिला बिहार के सहयोग से प्रायोजित थी। डॉ. नरेश बाबू प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, डॉ. तरुण अदक वरिष्ट वैज्ञानिक और श्री अरविंद कुमार एसीटीओ ने दौरे का समन्वय किया।
