On February 7, 2023 group of 24 farmers and 2 officials from 13 blocks of Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh visited the ICAR –CISH, Lucknow under Sub Mission on Agriculture Extension and outside state visit of staffs and farmers. Director, ICAR–Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture, Dr. T. Damodarn interacted with the farmers and highlighted improved technologies and crop diversification for enhancing the production and profitability. During the visit, farmers were apprised about the technologies developed by institute like improved varieties of mango, guava, bael, jamun, aonla, canopy management, high density planting of mango and guava, natural farming, organic farming, poly house cultivation technology of vegetables, crop regulation of guava, pre-harvest fruit bagging, drip irrigation, integrated pest & diseases management of mango, intercropping in fruit orchards to enhance the availability of the horticulture produce, reduce cost of cultivation improving profitability as these may provide sustainable returns and maintain soil fertility, planting method for establishment of orchard, value addition of mango and guava fruits, high value and low volume water requiring crops viz., seed spices. Dr. Naresh Babu, Principal Scientist stated about Kisaan App and Bagwan mitra App. importence of fruits and vegetable in daily diet for human health was also discussed with the farmers. मध्य प्रदेश के रीवा जिले के 13 ब्लॉकों के 2 अधिकारियों सहित 24 किसानों के एक समूह ने 7 फरवरी, 2023 को कृषि विस्तार उप मिशन के तहत कर्मचारियों और किसानों की राज्य के बाहर की यात्रा दौरे के तहत भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ का दौरा किया। संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. टी. दामोदरन ने किसानों के साथ बातचीत की और उत्पादन और लाभप्रदता बढ़ाने के लिए उन्नत तकनीकों और फसल विविधीकरण पर प्रकाश डाला। दौरे के दौरान किसानों को संस्थान की तकनीकों जैसे आम, अमरूद, बेल, जामुन, आंवला, छत्रक प्रबंधन, आम और अमरूद का सघन रोपण, प्राकृतिक खेती, जैविक खेती, पॉली हाउस में सब्जियों की खेती तकनीक, फसल विनियमन के बारे में अवगत कराया। अमरूद में फसल-पूर्व फल बैगिंग, ड्रिप सिंचाई, आम का एकीकृत कीट और रोग प्रबंधन, बागवानी उत्पाद की उपलब्धता बढ़ाने के लिए फलों के बागों में आन्तरा संस्यन खेती की लागत कम करना और लाभप्रदता में सुधार आदि क्योंकि ये टिकाऊ लाभ प्रदान कर सकते हैं, मिट्टी का रखरखाव उर्वरता बाग की स्थापना के लिए रोपण विधि और आम और अमरूद के फलों का मूल्यसंवर्धन। डॉ. नरेश बाबू, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने किसानों की जानकारी के लिए किसान ऐप और बागवान मित्र ऐप के बारे में बताया। मानव स्वास्थ्य के लिए दैनिक आहार में फलों और सब्जियों की भूमिका पर भी किसानों से चर्चा की गई। कार्यक्रम को किसान कल्याण एवं कृषि विकास जिला रीवा, मध्य प्रदेश द्वारा प्रायोजित किया गया था। दौरे का समन्वय डॉ. नरेश बाबू, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक और श्री अरविंद कुमार, तकनीकी अधिकारी ने किया।
