ICAR- Central institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow in collaboration with Bhawana Sewa Sansthan, Lucknow organized a two-days training for guava growers from Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on 11-12 January, 2023. This training was attended by 26 farmers. At the outset, Dr. Devendra Pandey, Director (Acting) addressed the farmers and informed them about different varieties and production technologies developed by ICAR- CISH, Lucknow in guava and other mandate crops. He motivated the farmers to adopt fruit and vegetable cultivation for higher income. He assured the trainee farmers of all the possible technical assistance from CISH for commercial fruit cultivation and value addition by them in the future. During this training, the experts delivered lectures on improved varieties of guava, plant propagation, orchard planting and early care, irrigation and fertilizer management, training, pruning and canopy management, integrated management of insect-pests and diseases, post-harvest management and value addition, etc. The trainee farmers also visited the Institute Nursery where they were informed about various aspects of nursery management in guava and other fruit crops. The farmers also shared their views and appreciated the CISH fraternity for familiarizing them with various aspects of scientific guava cultivation. Dr. S. K. Shukla, Principal Scientists was the Course Director, and Dr. Anshuman Singh, Senior Scientist, was the Coordinator for this training program.

भाकृअनुप- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने भावना सेवा संस्थान, लखनऊ के सहयोग से 11-12 जनवरी, 2023 को उत्तर प्रदेश के शाहजहांपुर जिले के अमरूद उत्पादकों के लिए दो दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया। इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में 26 किसानों ने भाग लिया। संस्थान के निदेशक (कार्यवाहक) डॉ. देवेंद्र पांडे, ने किसानों को संबोधित किया और उन्हें अमरूद और अन्य प्रमुख फसलों में भाकृअनुप-केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ द्वारा विकसित विभिन्न किस्मों और उत्पादन तकनीकों के बारे में जानकारी दी। उन्होंने किसानों को अधिक आय के लिए फल और सब्जी की खेती अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने प्रशिक्षु किसानों को भविष्य में उनके द्वारा व्यावसायिक फलों की खेती और मूल्यवर्धन के लिए संस्थान से हर संभव तकनीकी सहायता का आश्वासन दिया। इस प्रशिक्षण के दौरान विशेषज्ञों ने अमरूद की उन्नत किस्में, पौध प्रवर्धन, बाग रोपण एवं प्रारंभिक देखभाल, सिंचाई एवं उर्वरक प्रबंधन, प्रशिक्षण, छंटाई एवं कैनोपी प्रबंधन, कीट एवं रोगों का एकीकृत प्रबंधन, कटाई उपरांत प्रबंधन एवं मूल्य पर व्याख्यान दिया। इसके अलावा प्रशिक्षु किसानों ने संस्थान की नर्सरी का भी दौरा किया जहां उन्हें अमरूद और अन्य फलों की फसलों में नर्सरी प्रबंधन के विभिन्न पहलुओं के बारे में बताया गया। किसानों ने भी अपने विचार साझा किए और अमरूद की खेती के विभिन्न पहलुओं से परिचित कराने के लिए वैज्ञानिको की सराहना की। डॉ. एस.के. शुक्ला, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के पाठ्यक्रम निदेशक और डॉ. अंशुमन सिंह, वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक, समन्वयक थे।
