ICAR-CISH Regional Research Station, Malda has been taking initiative on conservation and utilization of local varieties of mango and Murshidabad districts of West Bengal. In this regard, mobilization campaign had organized in different mango growing belts of both the districts for on farm conservation and utilization of rich diversity of mango. In this direction, custodian farmers and mango growers of Murshidabad district has come forward for establishing a society in the name of Murshidabad Indigenous Mango Growers Society during the meeting with mango growers held at office of the District Horticulture Officer on 29.12.2016 in the presence of Dr. Dipak Nayak, Scientist & In-charge, ICAR CISH Regional Research Station, Malda. CISH-RRS, Malda will facilitate for establishing the society and its smooth activities. .
