आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकॉट द्वारा बिहार में केले के पनामा विल्ट बीमारी का नियंत्रण

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेड़ा और भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केंद्रीय मृदा लवणता अनुसंधान संस्थान के लखनऊ स्थित क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र ने संयुक्त रूप से केले के विनाशकारी बीमारी पनामा-विल्ट के नियंत्रण के लिए एक नवीन आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकॉट तकनीक को विकसित किया है। इस तकनीक का सफल प्रयोग उत्तर प्रदेश के पनामा-विल्ट बीमारी से प्रभावित क्षेत्रो में किया गया और यह पनामा विल्ट के ट्रॉपिकल रेस -4 के प्रबंधन के लिए उत्तम पाया गया। इसी क्रम में संस्थान के वैज्ञानिको ने बिहार के कटिहार जिले में 30 से अधिक किसानो के पनामा-विल्ट बीमारी से प्रभावित क्षेत्रो में इसका परीक्षण किया। कटिहार जिले के किसानों को समय-समय पर संस्थान के वैज्ञानिको द्वारा आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकॉट उपलब्ध कराया गया और किसानों को आवश्यकता के अनुसार मार्गदर्शन दिया गया। भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, के क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र मालदा के वैज्ञानिको ने समय-समय पर गतिविधि की निगरानी की। आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकॉट के उपयोग के नौ महीने बाद, बीमारी पर तकनीक के प्रभाव का आकलन करने के लिए वैज्ञानिको के दल ने किसानों के खेतों का सर्वेक्षण किया। सर्वेक्षण में पनामा-विल्ट बीमारी में 95 प्रतिशत तक की भारी कमी देखी गई। तकनीक को अपनाने वाले किसान आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकॉट की परिणाम से अभिभूत थे और केले की खेती को पूरी तरह से अपनाने के लिए आईसीएआर-फ्यूजीकॉट की मांग कर रहे थे।

ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Rehmankhera and Regional Research Station of ICAR- Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Lucknow jointly developed a new ICAR-FUSICONT technology for control of devastating Panama wilt disease in banana. The successful use of this technology was demonstrated earlier in areas affected by Panama wilt disease in Uttar Pradesh and it was found to be good for management of Panama Wilts tropical race-4. In this order, the scientists of the institute further tested it in Panama wilt disease affected areas of more than 30 farmers in Katihar district of Bihar state. The scientists of the institute provided ICAR-FUSICONT to farmers on time to time and also guided them according to their requirement. The Scientists from Regional Research Station of ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Malda periodically monitor the activity. Nine months after the use of ICAR-FUSICONT the team of scientists surveyed farmers fields to assess the impact of technology on the disease. In survey a significant reduction of 95 percent in Panama wilt disease was observed. ICAR-FUSICONT adopted farmers were overwhelmed by the results of the technology and they were demanding ICAR-FUSICONT for adopting banana cultivation completely.
