World Soil Day was celebrated at Sarsanda, Lucknow, U.P. on 5th December, 2023. Dr. S.K Shukla, Dr. Tarun Adak, Dr. Vishambhar Dayal and Dr. Dinesh Kumar delivered lectures on soil health and plant nutrition in the programme. About forty farmers, women and men took part in the celebration sincerely. Interaction with the farmers was held and they enthusiastically participated. Soil and tree health management in fruit production systems was discussed. Scientists discussed on the water management and orchard practices for ensuring fruit yields. Hindi literature of scientific zinc and boron management in guava cultivation was distributed among the farming community. Growers were sensitized on soil health status, indexing and needs for soil health improvements Micronutrient management for quality fruit production was discussed. Spraying of micronutrients at pea, marble and fruit developmental stages in mango and guava stage were suggested to get quality fruit. Incorporation of vermicompost, Jeevamrit, organic mulching, organic manures and microbial consortia like C.I.S.H.-bioenhancer were recommended to growers. Farmers were encouraged for organic cultivation of vegetables and fruits. Soil health and food security was discussed. Celebration was concluded with vote of thanks to all the participants. ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organized the event under SCST sub plan.

5 दिसंबर, 2023 को सरसण्डा, लखनऊ, यूपी में विश्व मृदा दिवस मनाया गया। कार्यक्रम में डॉ. एस. के. शुक्ला, डॉ. तरुण अदक, डॉ. विशंभर दयाल और डॉ. दिनेश कुमार ने मृदा स्वास्थ एवं पौध पोषण ब्याख्यान दिए। कार्यक्रम में लगभग चालीस किसानों, महिलाओं और पुरुषों ने रुचिपूर्वक भाग लिया। किसानों के साथ बातचीत हुई और उन्होंने सहभागिता की। फल उत्पादन प्रणालियों में मृदा और वृक्ष स्वास्थ्य प्रबंधन पर चर्चा की गई। वैज्ञानिकों ने अधिक फल उपज प्राप्त करने के लिए बेहतर बाग प्रबंधन पर चर्चा की। वैज्ञानिकों ने फलों की पैदावार सुनिश्चित करने के लिए जल प्रबंधन और बाग प्रबंधन पर चर्चा की। अमरूद की खेती में जिंक एवं बोरॉन प्रबंधन का हिंदी साहित्य कृषक समुदाय के बीच वितरित किया गया। उत्पादकों को मिट्टी के स्वास्थ्य की स्थिति, अनुक्रमण और मिट्टी के स्वास्थ्य में सुधार की जरूरतों के बारे में जागरूक किया गया। गुणवत्तापूर्ण फल उत्पादन के लिए सूक्ष्म पोषक तत्व प्रबंधन पर चर्चा की गई। गुणवत्तापूर्ण फल प्राप्त करने के लिए आम और अमरूद की मटर, मार्बल और फलों के विकास की अवस्था में सूक्ष्म पोषक तत्वों का छिड़काव करने का सुझाव दिया गया। उत्पादकों को वर्मीकम्पोस्ट, जीवामृत, जैविक मल्चिंग, जैविक खाद और सी.आई.एस.एच.-बायोएनहांसर जैसे माइक्रोबियल कंसोर्टिया को शामिल करने की सिफारिश की गई। किसानों को सब्जियों और फलों की जैविक खेती के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया गया। खाद्य सुरक्षा पर मृदा स्वास्थ्य की भूमिका पर चर्चा की गई। समारोह का समापन सभी प्रतिभागियों को धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ किया गया। आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ ने एससीएसटी उपयोजना के तहत कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया।
