सी.आई.एस.एच.- ललित की अरुणाचल प्रदेश में सुर्ख और आकर्षक फल की पैदावार

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेड़ा, लखनऊ ने वर्ष 2017 में भारत के उत्तर-पूर्व क्षेत्र में अमरूद के उत्पादन के लिए पहल किया। इसके लिए एक योजना के तहत संस्थान द्वारा विकसित ललित, श्वेता और धवल जैसी किस्में की एक लाख पौधे को उनके मूल स्थान से सुदूर और तुलनात्मक रूप से कम तापमान और उच्च तुंगता वाले क्षेत्र अरुणाचल प्रदेश के ईटानगर के पास याचुली में लगाया गया। इस योजना के दौरान, संस्थान के वैज्ञानिको ने वहाँ के स्थानीय युवाओं को अमरूद की खेती की तकनीक पर प्रशिक्षित किया तथा अमरूद के बागों को बनाए रखने के लिए डिजिटल संचार के माध्यम से समय-समय पर उनकी सहायता की। इन सभी लगाए गए अमरुद की किस्मो में से ललित ने सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित किया और यहाँ के वातावरण में इसके फलो का रंग केसरिया-पीले के बजाय एक अन्य अमरुद की किस्म इलाहाबादी सुरखा (सेब अमरूद) जैसा लाल हो गया। इसके अलावा, इस किस्म में घातक बीमारियो और कीटो का नगण्य प्रकोप हुआ।

ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical and Horticulture, Lucknow taken initiative for production of guava in north-east region of India. In year 2017, Institute has started the venture at Yachuli, near the Itanagar of Arunachal Pradesh and planted one lakh plants of CISH guava varieties like Lalit, Shweta and Dhawal, far away from their native place and has comparatively lower temperature and higher altitude. During this venture, Institute has trained the local youth on guava cultivation technology and further assist them time to time through digital communication for maintaining the guava orchards. Among them, Lalit varieties has surprised to produce red coloured gorgeous fruits like Allahabad Surkha (apple guava) instead of their native saffron yellow colour. Moreover, this variety has successfully survived in mountainous landscape with insignificant disease and pest.
