आजीविका एवं कौशल विकास दिवस का आयोजन
संस्थान द्वारा दिनांक 05.05.2018 को लखनऊ जिले के बाबू त्रिलोकी सिंह इंटर कॉलेज, काकोरी और बड़ी गढ़ी गांव में ग्राम स्वराज अभियान के तहत आजीविका एवं कौशल विकास दिवस का आयोजन किया गया। डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग, डॉ. घनश्याम पांडे, डॉ. नरेश बाबू, श्री सुभाष चन्द्रा एवं श्री अरविंद कुमार ने कार्यक्रम का समन्वय किया। इस अवसर पर छात्रों को संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा आजीविका और कौशल विकास में सुधार के बारे में जागरूक और संवेदनशील बनाया गया। वैज्ञानिकों ने गुणवत्ता युक्त रोपण सामग्री, उपयुक्त अन्तःफसल, मधुमक्खी पालन, आम बागवानी के साथ मुर्गीपालन द्वारा आय बढ़ाने के लिए विभिन्न तकनीकों के बारे में भी चर्चा की। छात्रों को कीटों को नियंत्रित करने के लिए कीटनाशकों के न्यायिक अनुप्रयोग के बारे में भी सलाह दी गई। डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग ने नुकसान को कम करने के लिए आम फसल प्रबंधन और आम के मूल्यवर्धित उत्पादों पर जोर दिया। फलों के कटाई दक्षता और शेल्फ जीवन में वृद्धि के लिए छात्रों के बीच आम तुड़ाई यंत्र और पैकेजिंग सीएफबी बॉक्स का भी प्रदर्शन किया गया। कक्षा 12 के लगभग 60 छात्रों और संकाय सदस्यों ने कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया।
बड़ी गढ़ी में वैज्ञानिकों ने आय बढ़ाने एवं परिवार की पोषण सुरक्षा के लिए सब्जियों, फूलों, फलों, छत बागवानी और रसोई बागवानी, फसल कटाई प्रबंधन और आम के मूल्यवर्धित उत्पाद हेतु सुझाव दिए। कार्यक्रम में लगभग 30 महिलाओं और पुरुषों ने भाग लिया। डॉ. एस के शुक्ला, डॉ. नरेश बाबू, श्री सुभाष चन्द्रा और श्री अरविंद कुमार ने इस कार्यक्रम का समन्वय किया।
Institute organised Aaajivika evam Kausal Vikas Diwas under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan on 05.05.2018 at Babu Triloki Singh Inter collage, Kakori and Bari Garhi village of Lucknow district. Dr. Neelima Garg, Dr. Ghanshyam Pandey, Dr. Naresh Babu, Shri Subhash Chandra and Shri Arvind Kumar coordinated the programme. On this occasion students were made aware and sensitized about improving livelihood and skill development by the scientists of institute. Scientist also discussed about various technologies viz production of quality planting materials, suitable intercrops, bee keeping, poultry farming in mango orchard for increasing income. Students were also advised about judicious application of pesticides to control of insect pest. Dr. Neelima Garg emphasised upon post harvest management and value added products of mango to reduce losses. Mango harvester and packaging CFB box were also demonstrated among the students for increasing harvesting efficiency and shelf life of fruits. About 60 students of class 12 and faculty members attended the programme.
At Bari Garhi scientists uggested theg stakeholders about nursery management of vegetables, flowers fruits, roof gardening and kitchen gardening, post harvest management and preparation of value added products of mango for income generation and nutrition security of the family. About 30 women and men participated in the event. Dr. S K. Shukla, Dr. Naresh Babu, Dr. Subhash Chandra and Arvind Kumar coordinated the event
