भा.कृ.अनु.प.-के.उ.बा.सं में दिनांक 18.08.2018 को नर्सरी, संरक्षित खेती, मूल्यवर्धन, जैविक खेती और ऊतक संस्कृति पर होर्टी-उद्यमिता कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। देश के युवाओं हेतु नौकरी के अवसर पैदा करने के लिए बागवानी क्षेत्र तीव्रगति से उभर रहा है। पिछले दो वर्षों में बागवानी आधारित उद्यमशीलता के लिए बड़ी संख्या में युवाओं ने के.उ.बा.सं, लखनऊ से संपर्क किया। ग्रामीण और शहरी युवाओं के बीच बढ़ती दिलचस्पी ने के.उ.बा.सं को इस कार्यशाला को आयोजित करने के लिए प्रेरित किया जो न केवल स्टार्टअप और उद्यमिता की मूल बातें बताता है बल्कि विशिष्ट बागवानी प्रौद्योगिकियों के आधार पर व्यापार मॉड्यूल भी प्रदान करता है। चार राज्यों (बिहार, जम्मू-कश्मीर, राजस्थान और उत्तर प्रदेश) के 16 जिलों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए कुल 68 प्रतिभागियों (पीएचडी के स्नातक) और 4 शिक्षित किसानों ने कार्यशाला मंल भाग लिया। नर्सरी व्यवसाय शुरू करने में बहुत से लोग रुचि रखते हैं, इसलिए फल, सजावटी और सब्जी फसलों पर विशिष्ट नर्सरी में उद्यमशीलता के विषय पर एक सत्र आयोजित किया गया। रोपण सामग्री की बढ़ती मांग और बढ़ती भुगतान क्षमता के साथ, नर्सरी की संख्या बढ़ रही है। संस्थान द्वारा विकसित मॉडल नर्सरी को हजारों किसानों और उद्यमियों ने देखा और वे अपना स्वयं का उद्यम शुरू करने के लिए प्रेरित हुए। मूल्यवर्धन युवाओं को छोटे पैमाने पर उद्योग या मूल्यवर्धित उत्पादों के घरेलू स्तर के उत्पादन की स्थापना के लिए आकर्षित करता है। फल और सब्जी फसलों की प्रसंस्करण और उ.प्र. में छोटे पैमाने पर अचार उद्योग के दायरे में व्यापार के अवसर चर्चा की गई थी। उ.प्र. में ग्रीन हाउस की खेती लोकप्रिय हो रही है और सरकार द्वारा वित्तीय सहायता से संरक्षित खेती के तहत क्षेत्रों में वृद्धि भी हुई है। उच्च मूल्य वाले फल और सब्जी फसलों की संरक्षित खेती, कार्बनिक खेती और मशरूम उत्पादन उद्यमिता चर्चा के महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दे थे। ऊतक सुसंस्कृत केला पौधों की बढ़ती मांगों के साथ, ऊतक संवर्धन और सेकेंडरी हार्डनिंग में उद्यमिता ने कुछ महीनों के भीतर पैसे कमाने हेतु कई स्नातकों को आकर्षित किया है। प्रतिभागियों ने विशेषज्ञों के साथ बातचीत की और प्रशिक्षण पर टिशू कल्चर लैब, प्रसंस्करण प्रयोगशाला, मशरूम उत्पादन सुविधा, नर्सरी / हाइड्रोपोनिक्स, पॉलीहाउस आदि का प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया।
Horti-Entrepreneurship Workshop on nursery, protected cultivation, value addition, organic farming and tissue culture was organized at ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Rehmankhera, Lucknow on 18-08-2018. Horticulture sector is proving to be boom for creating job opportunities for youth of this country. Large number of youths contacted CISH Lucknow during last two years for horticulture based entrepreneurship. The growing interest among rural as well as urban youth prompted CISH to schedule this workshop which not only deal with the basics of startup and entrepreneurship but also caters to specific horticulture technologies based business modules. A total of 68 participants (graduate to Ph. D.) and 7 well educated farmers representing 16 districts of 4 states (Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh) participated in the workshop. A good number of people are interested in starting the nursery business, therefore a session was planned for entrepreneurship in dealing with specific nurseries on fruit, ornamental and vegetable crops. With the growing demand of planting material and increasing paying capacity, number of nurseries are increasing. Institute has developed a model nursery, visited by thousands of farmers and entrepreneurs and they get motivated for starting their own venture. Value addition attracts youth for establishing small scale industry or household level production of value added products. Business opportunities in processing of fruits and vegetable crops and scope of small scale pickles industry in U.P. were discussed. Green house cultivation is becoming popular in UP and financial support by the Government has led to increase in areas under protected cultivation. Protected cultivation of high value fruit and vegetable crops, entrepreneurship in organic farming and mushroom production were the important issues for discussion. With increasing demands of tissue cultured banana plants, entrepreneurship in tissue culture and secondary hardening has attracted many graduates for earn money within few months. The participants interacted with specialists and visited tissue culture lab, processing lab, mushroom production facility, nursery/hydroponics, polyhouse hands on training.
