रानी लक्ष्मी बाई केंद्रीय कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, झाँसी, उत्तर प्रदेश के दो संकाय सदस्यों के साथ बी.एससी (ऑनर्स) बागवानी पांचवें सेमेस्टर के 19 छात्रों के एक समूह ने 3 जनवरी, 2024 को आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच लखनऊ, उत्तर प्रदेश का भ्रमण किया। छात्रों को फसल सुधार और जैव प्रौद्योगिकी, उत्पादन प्रौद्योगिकियों, सुरक्षा और फसल कटाई के बाद की प्रौद्योगिकियों की भूमिका के बारे में बताया गया। आम की किस्मों जैसे अरुणिका, अंबिका, लंगड़ा, मल्लिका और अमरूद की किस्मों जैसे श्वेता, ललित धवल, लालिमा की भूमिका के बारे में बताया गया। देश भर में पोषण संबंधी आवश्यकताओं और किसानों की आय में वृद्धि के बारे में बताया गया। केले में फ्यूजेरियम विल्ट के वैज्ञानिक प्रबंधन पर चर्चा की गई। सब्जियों के उत्पादन के लिए संरक्षित खेती, कम लागत वाली पॉलीटनल और पॉलीहाउस की आवश्यकता पर भी जोर दिया गया! कृषक समुदाय की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए छात्रों को फलों की फसलों में एकीकृत कीट प्रबंधन के बारे में बताया गया। छात्रों को वैज्ञानिक फल उत्पादन, सब्जियों की सफल खेती, केले का जैव-प्रतिरक्षण पर हिंदी साहित्य वितरित किया गया। भ्रमण के दौरान, आम के बागों में अंतरफसल, पुराने आम के बागों का जिर्णौधार, लंगड़ा किस्म के आम के पेड़, उच्च घनत्व वाले आम के बाग और बहु-भ्रूण वाले आम के पेड़ों के बारे में जानकारी डी गयी। डॉ. नरेश बाबू (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक) और डॉ. तरूण अदक (वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक) ने व्याख्यान दिया और छात्रों के साथ बातचीत की। डॉ. नरेश बाबू (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक) और डॉ. तरूण अदक (वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक) ने इस भ्रमण का आयोजन किया गया।

A group of 19 students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture V semester along with two faculty members from Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh visited ICAR-CISH Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on 3rd January, 2024. The role of crop improvements and biotechnology, production technologies, protection and post harvest technologies was discussed. Role of Mango varieties like Arunika, Ambika, Langra, Mallika and Guava varieties like Shewta, Lalit Dhawal, Lalima was explained. Scientific management of Fusarium wilt in Banana was discussed. The need for protected cultivation, low cost polytunnel and polyhouse for producing vegetables were also emphasized. Importance of soil and tree nutritional management for securing quality fruit production was presented. Students were motivated for adoption of integrated pest management in fruit crops for solving problems of the farming community. Hindi literatures on scientific fruit production, successful vegetables cultivation, Bio-immunization of Banana were distributed to the students. During field visits, intercropping in mango orchards, rejuvenation of old mango orchards, Langra variety of mango tree, high density mango orchards and poly-embryony mango trees were demonstrated. Dr. Naresh Babu (Principal Scientist) and Dr. Tarun Adak (Senior Scientist) delivered lectures and interacted with the students.
