संस्थान के निदेशक एवं राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति के अध्यक्ष डॉ.टी.दामोदरन की अध्यक्षता में दिनांक 28/03/2024 को एक हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें आम के कीटों एवं रोगों का समन्वित प्रबंधन/Integrated Management of Insects & Diseases in Mango विषय पर व्याख्यान डॉ. प्रभात कुमार शुक्ला,प्रधान वैज्ञानिक,केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेडा द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया| आम में लगने वाले कीटों एवं रोगों के समन्वित प्रबंधन करने हेतु यांत्रिक,प्राकृतिक,जैविक एवं अंत में रासायनिकों का समन्वित तथा पारिस्थितिकी संतुलन वनाये रखते हुए सामायिक प्रबंधन करने पर जोर दिया गया| गुणवत्तायुक्त कीटनाशकों/फफूंदी नाशकों के प्रयोग करने पर भी बल दिया| संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ.टी.दामोदरन ने संस्थान द्वारा आम में कीटों एवं रोगों के समन्वित प्रबंधन हेतु संस्थान द्वारा विकसित तकनीकों को बागवानों तक पहुंचनें में हिंदी भाषा के महत्व को एक प्रभावी माध्यम वताया| संस्थान के 35 वैज्ञानिकों/अधिकारियों/कर्मचारियों ने इस कार्यशाला में प्रतिभाग किया| कार्यक्रम का समन्वयन अरविन्द कुमार ,नोडल अधिकारी (राजभाषा ) द्वारा किया गया | Event Date:- 28-03-2024

Skill Development will lead to Entrepreneurship

आम तौर पर वाइट कॉलर जॉब कर रहे युवा कृषि में हाथ नहीं आज़माते थे। कोरोना काल के बाद इस सोच में भरी बदलाव आया है! आज युवा जो तकनीकी उद्योग में काम कर रहे है वो कृषि स्टार्टअप में तेजी से भाग्य आजमा रहे हैं। 1500 से ज्यादा कृषि स्टार्टअप भारत में आज काम कर रहे हैं। निंजा कार्ट और देहात जैसे कृषि स्टार्टअप ने धूम मचा रखी हैं। केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान के एग्री बिजनेस इन्क्यूबेशन केंद्र के प्रधान अन्वेषक डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा बताते हैं, की संस्थान के स्टार्टअप को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक माह का मेंटरशिप कार्यक्रम उद्यानोदय 6 फ़रवरी को आयोजित किया गया। पुरे देश से 65 युवाओं/कंपनियों ने इसके लिए आवेदन किया। भारतीय प्रबंध संस्थान एवं भारतीय तकनीकी संस्थान के विशेज्ञों ने पिच डे में इनमे से 9 इन्क्यूबेटी का चयन किया। इनमे से एक युवा हैं राहुल बग्घा जो बॉलीवुड में एक्टर हैं साथ ही नेटफ्लिक्स में कई सीरीज में काम कर चुके हैं।मनीष माहेश्वरी जो पेशे से टेलीकॉम इंडस्ट्री में बड़े पद पर थे ने अपनी नौकरी छोड़ कर अमरूद में स्टार्टअप शुरू करने का निर्णय लिया! आशीष बैनर्जी एक शॉफ्टवेयर इंजीनियर हैं जो केले के ब्लॉक चैन टेक्नोलॉजी में स्टार्टअप का सपना लेकर इस कार्यक्रम में जुड़े हैं, बंगाल के प्रसून चितलांगिया आम, पापड़ को स्टार्टअप के माध्यम से पुरे देश में लोकप्रिय करना चाहते हैं! इन इन्क्यूबेटी को डीपीआर बनाने, स्टार्टअप के लिए धन मुहैया कराने, स्टार्टअप रजिस्टर कराने, बैद्विक सम्पदा संरक्षित करने, कानूनी विषयो में पारंगत कराने सहित व्यवसाय से जुड़े विषयो पर देश के प्रख्यात विशेषज्ञों से जोड़ा जा रहा हैं। संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ टी.दामोदरन,बताते हैं कि एक माह के गहन सत्र के बाद एक साल तक इन्क्यूबेशन में रक्खा जाएगा! स्टार्टअप जब तक बाजार में सफल नहीं होते तब तक संस्थान इनकी मेंटोरशिप करेगा। संस्थान के वैज्ञानिक प्रयोगशालाये, उपकरण सहित अनेक संसाधनों का ये इन्क्यूबेटी उपयोग कर पाएंगे.

Nine Startups to handhold by ICAR-CISH under Udyanoday-1 Incubation Programme..

Hort-Ind Agri-Business Incubation Centre (Hort-Ind ABIC) of ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized “Pitch Day” for startups under the incubation programme UDYANODAY-1 on 29th January, 2024. The objective of the programme was to select the most refined innovative startup ideas in horticulture for incubation support at ICAR-CISH, Lucknow. About 65 startups have applied for this programme from all over the country, out of which 22 were scrutinized thoroughly and invited for the Pitch Day to present their innovations. The expert panels for judging these startups were from the India’s leading organizations like IITs and IIMs of the country. Dr. T. Damodaran (Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow), Mr. Ravi Pandey (REO, IIT Kanpur), Mr. Shyam Kumar (Coo, SGPGIMS), Dr. Ashish Yadav (Principal Scientist, ICAR-CISH), Dr. Ravi S.C. (Scientist, ICAR-CISH) and Dr. Alok Kumar Gupta (Scientist, ICAR-CISH) evaluated the startups meticulously and critically analyzed their innovations. Total nine most potential startup ideas on post-harvest management, food technology, value addition, brewery, precision agriculture, blockchain, traceability, Vedic / musical farming and agro-tourism were selected for this programme for incubation. These startup will be given one month intensive mentorship followed by one year incubation informed Dr. Maneesh Mishra, PI, ABI.

केंद्रीय उपोषण बागवानी संस्थान लखनऊ के हॉर्ट-इंड एग्री-बिजनेस इनक्यूबेशन सेंटर (हॉर्ट-इंड एबीआईसी) ने दिनांक 29 जनवरी, 2024 को इन्क्यूबेशन प्रोग्राम उदयनोदय-1 के तहत स्टार्टअप्स के लिए एक कार्यक्रम "पिच डे" का आयोजन किया गया । इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देस्य बागवानी में सबसे परिष्कृत नवीन स्टार्टअप विचारों का चयन करना था। इस कार्यक्रम के लिए पूरे देश से लगभग 65 स्टार्टअप ने आवेदन किया,जिनमें से 22 की गहन जांच की गई और उन्हें अपने नवाचार प्रस्तुत करने के लिए पिच दिवस पर आमंत्रित किया गया। इन स्टार्टअप्स को परखने के लिए आईआईटी और आईआईएम जैसे भारत के अग्रणी संगठनों से विशेषज्ञो को आमंत्रित किया गया था। कार्यक्रम में डॉ. टी. दामोदरन (निदेशक, आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ), श्री रवि पांडे (आरईओ, आईआईटी कानपुर), श्री श्याम कुमार (सीओ, एसजीपीजीआईएमएस),डॉ. आशीष यादव (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच),डॉ. रवि एस.सी. (वैज्ञानिक, आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच) और डॉ. आलोक कुमार गुप्ता (वैज्ञानिक, आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच) ने स्टार्टअप्स का सूझबुझ के साथ मूल्यांकन किया और उनके नवाचारों का गंभीर विश्लेषण किया। इस कार्यक्रम के लिए फसल कटाई के बाद प्रबंधन, खाद्य प्रौद्योगिकी, मूल्य संवर्धन,यवासवनी, सटीक कृषि, ब्लॉकचेन, ट्रेसबिलिटी, वैदिक/संगीत खेती और कृषि-पर्यटन पर कुल नौ सबसे संभावित स्टार्टअप विचारों को चुना गया। डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा, पीआई, एबीआई ने बताया कि इन स्टार्टअप को एक महीने की मेंटरशिप दी जाएगी और उसके बाद एक साल का इनक्यूबेशन दिया जाएगा।

ICAR-CISH and APEDA Targets 100 MT export of UP mangoes through sea route

आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच ने यूपी के निर्यात के लिए एक समुद्री मार्ग प्रोटोकॉल विकसित किया है। एपीडा और राज्य सरकार के सहयोग से आम को यूरोप और रूस तक पहुंचाया जायेगा। संस्थान ने 35 दिनों तक स्व-जीवन बढ़ाने और तुड़ाई उपरांत फलों के रोगों को नियंत्रित करने के लिए सीआईएसएच-मेटवॉश और एथिलीन अवशोषक तकनीक विकसित की है। प्रगतिशील किसानों की पहचान की गई है और उन्हें बाजारों से अस्वीकृति से बचने के लिए स्वीकार्य सीमा के तहत कीटनाशकों के अवशेषों के साथ निर्यात गुणवत्ता वाले आम का उत्पादन करने के लिए संस्थान प्रौद्योगिकियों के साथ प्रशिक्षित किया गया है। पहचाने गए निर्यातक, डॉ. के.एस. रवि, इनोवा एग्री बायो पार्क लिमिटेड, बेंगलुरु यूरोपीय और अमेरिकी बाजारों को लक्षित करेंगे; और मेसर्स देव दास एग्रो प्राइवेट लिमिटेड, जलगांव, महाराष्ट्र, उत्तर भारतीय आम को रूस और उज्बेकिस्तान में निर्यात करेंगे। यूपी के आमों के निर्यात से किसानों को अत्यधिक लाभकारी रिटर्न मिलेगा। एपीडा, नई दिल्ली की महाप्रबंधक सुश्री विनीता सुधांशु ने आगामी सीजन में इटली में उत्तर भारतीय आम की किस्मों के प्रदर्शन में वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करने का वादा किया। यूपी से आम के समुद्री मार्ग के माध्यम से निर्यात की योजना को 09 जनवरी, 2024 को कृषि अनुसंधान भवन II, नई दिल्ली में सभी हितधारकों (निर्यातकों, किसानों, एपीडा और आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच) की बैठक में अंतिम रूप दिया गया है। इस बैठक में हितधारकों को संबोधित करते हुए डॉ. टी. दामोदरन, निदेशक, आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच लखनऊ ने बताया कि समुद्री मार्ग से निर्यात में बड़ी बाधा, आम के फलों की सीमित शेल्फ लाइफ को हल कर लिया गया है और यूरोपीय बाजार में आपूर्ति के लिए प्रोटोकॉल तैयार कर लिया गया है। तुड़ाई से लेकर बिक्री के लिए वितरण तक 32-34 दिन लगेंगे। प्रयोगों की एक श्रृंखला के बाद, गर्म पानी के उपचार और सीआईएसएच-मेटवॉश डिप के बाद पूरी आपूर्ति श्रृंखला में फलों को 17 डिग्री सेल्सियस पर बनाए रखने के संयोजन की तकनीक 34 दिनों से अधिक का शेल्फ जीवन प्रदान करेगी। आम ब्लॉक-चेन प्रौद्योगिकी में एआई आधारित समाधान विकसित करने के लिए इस बैठक में बोरलॉग वेब सर्विसेज, कोलकाता के श्री अयोन हाजरा भी शामिल थे और निर्यात के लिए चयनित बागों से आंकड़ों के प्रबंधन के लिए उनकी फर्म को शामिल करने का निर्णय लिया गया है। आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ के वैज्ञानिकों (डॉ. अकथ सिंह, डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा और डॉ. पी.के. शुक्ल) की उपस्थिति में निर्यातकों के साथ भाग लेने वाले किसानों (श्री उमंग गुप्ता, लखनऊ श्री अब्दुल गफ्फार, सहारनपुर श्री आशीष जैन, सहारनपुर और श्री अशोक कुमार, मेरठ) के साथ चर्चा की गई और यह निर्णय लिया गया कि किसान निर्यातकों को उनके द्वारा निर्दिष्ट गुणवत्ता स्तर पर वांछित मात्रा (100 मीट्रिक टन तक) आम के फल प्रदान करेंगे। उत्पादन अवधि के दौरान लक्षित आयातक देशों के प्रोटोकॉल का भी पालन किया जाएगा। निर्यातक एक पखवाड़े के भीतर देश-वार आपूर्ति लक्ष्य और प्रोटोकॉल को अंतिम रूप देंगे और समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर करने के लिए आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ में एक और खरीदार-विक्रेता बैठक आयोजित की जाएगी।

ICAR-CISH has developed a sea route protocol for the export of U.P. mango to Europe and Russia in collaboration with APEDA and state government. The Institute has developed CISH-METWASH and ethylene absorbing technologies to extend shelf life for 35 days and to control post-harvest diseases. The progressive farmers have been identified and are trained with Institute technologies for producing export quality mangoes with pesticides residues under permissible limits to avoid rejection from markets. The identified exporters, Dr. K. S. Ravi, Innova Agri Bio Park Ltd., Bengaluru will target European and USA markets; and M/s Dev Das Agro Pvt Ltd, Jalgaon, Maharashtra will export North Indian mango to Russia and Uzbekistan. The export of UP mangoes will provide highly remunerative returns to the farmers. The General Manager, APEDA, New Delhi, Ms. Vinita Sudhanshu promised to provide financial support in showcasing North Indian mango varieties in Italy in the forthcoming season. The road map for export of mango fruits from U.P. through sea route has been finalized in a meeting of the all stakeholders (exporters, farmers, APEDA and ICAR-CISH) on January 09, 2024 at Krishi Anushandhan Bhawan II, New Delhi. While addressing to the stakeholders in the meeting Dr. T. Damodaran, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow told that the major hurdle in the sea route export, the limited shelf life of mango fruits has been resolved and the protocol to supply in European market has been finalized. It will take 32-34 days from harvesting to distribution for sale. After a series of experiments, the technology combining hot water treatment and CISH-METWASH dip followed by maintaining fruits at 17 °C throughout the supply chain will provide the shelf life of over 34 days. Sri Ayon Hazra, Borlogue Web Services, Kolkata was also involved in this meeting for developing the AI based solutions in mango block-chain technology and it has been decide to involve his firm for managing data from selected orchards for export. The discussion was held with the participating farmers (Mr. Umang Gupta, Lucknow; Mr. Abdul Gaffar, Saharanpur; Mr. Ashish Jain, Saharanpur and Mr. Ashok Kumar, Meerut) with the exporters in the presence of ICAR-CISH, Lucknow scientists (Dr. Akath Singh, Dr. Maneesh Mishra and Dr. P.K. Shukla); and it was decided that the farmers will provide desired quantity (up to 100 MT) of mango fruits to the exporters at quality level specified by them. The protocols of the target importing countries will also be followed during production period. The exporters will finalize the country-wise supply targets and protocols within a fortnight and another buyer-seller meeting will be organized at ICAR-CISH, Lucknow to sign the agreements.

संस्थान के निदेशक एवं राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति के अध्यक्ष डॉ.टी.दामोदरन की अध्यक्षता में दिनांक 21.12.2023 को एक हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे उद्यान में जैवप्रौधोगिकी अनुप्रयोग Biotechnology Applications in Horticulture विषय पर व्याख्यान डॉ.मुत्थु कुमार वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक(जैव प्रौधोगिकी) केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेडा द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया,जिसमें जैव प्रौधोगिकी को परिभाषित करते हुए जैव प्रौधोगिकी तकनीक के द्वारा रोग प्रतिरोधी एवं अधिक गुणवत्ता वाली किस्मों के विकास करने में उद्यान फसलों को बेहतर बनाने के वारें में विस्तृत जानकारी से उपस्थित प्रतिभागियों को लाभान्वित किया| कार्यशाला में संस्थान के नोडल अधिकारी(राजभाषा) ने राजभाषा के वार्षिक लक्ष्यों का सक्षेप में परिचय कराते हुए संस्थान में हुई राजभाषा गतिविधियों के वारे में जानकारी प्रतिभागियों के वीच साझा की| संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ.टी.दामोदरन ने इस अवसर पर संस्थान दवारा जैव प्रौधोगिकी माध्यम से विकसित गुणवत्तायुक्त उद्यान फसलों सम्बन्धी तकनीकी जानकारी को आखिरी उपयोगकर्ता तक पहुचाने में हिंदी भाषा के महत्व को सराहा| इस कार्यशाला में संस्थान के 53 वैज्ञानिकों/अधिकारीयों/कर्मचारियों ने प्रतिभाग किया तथा कार्यक्रम का समन्वयन अरविन्द कुमार,नोडल अधिकारी (राजभाषा) द्वारा किया गया|

Group discussion for increasing awareness for use of Consortia of Liquid bio fertilizer of NPK

The Group discussion was organized with collaboration of KRIBHCO, Kolkata on dated 29 November 2023 at CISH-RRS/KVK Malda. This program was chaired by Dr. Dipak Nayak I/c Head, RRS Malda. Dr Nayak suggested the use of Liquid consortia of NPK which is helpful in reducing the use of chemical fertilizer and cost of cultivation. Mr. N Kartik Sales Officer KRIBHCO Malda assured input dealers for quality assurance. He talked about the promotion of bio-fertilizer through Agri-input dealer. The liquid consortia have one-year shelf life. Dr. D K Raghav delivered a lecture on use of bio-fertilizer on crops through seed treatment, seedling treatment and foliar sprays. Due to increased shelf life input dealer’s showd the interest for promotion of bio-fertilizers in fruits, vegetable and cereals crops. More than 40 agro-input dealers attended this group discussion program. सीआईएसएच-आरआरएस/केवीके मालदा में सामूहिक चर्चा का आयोजन KRIBHCO, कोलकाता के सहयोग से दिनांक 29 नवंबर 2023 को किया गया था। इस कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता डॉ दीपक नायक प्रभारी प्रमुख आरआरएस मालदा ने की डॉ. नायक ने सुझाव दिया कि एनपीके के लिक्विड कंसोर्टिया का उपयोग सहायक है इसके पर्यावरण-अनुकूल प्रकृति के कारण रासायनिक उर्वरक के उपयोग और खेती की लागत को कम किया जा सकता हैं । श्री एन कार्तिक सेल्स ऑफिसर कृभको मालदा ने इनपुट डीलरों को गुणवत्ता का आश्वासन दिया। उन्होंने कृषि-इनपुट डीलर के माध्यम से जैव-उर्वरक को बढ़ावा देने पर जोर दिया, जो पर्यावरण के लिए सुरक्षित, रासायनिक उर्वरक के उपयोग को कम करने में सहायक हो सकता है। लिक्विड कंसोर्टिया की शेल्फ लाइफ एक साल है। डॉ. डी.के.राघव ने बीज उपचार, पौध उपचार और पर्णीय स्प्रे के माध्यम से फसलों पर जैव उर्वरक के उपयोग पर एक व्याख्यान दिया। शेल्फ लाइफ में वृद्धि के कारण इनपुट डीलर ने फलों, सब्जियों और अनाज की फसलों में जैव-उर्वरक को बढ़ावा देने में रुचि दिखाई। इस सामूहिक चर्चा कार्यक्रम में 40 से अधिक कृषि-इनपुट डीलर शामिल हुए। Event Date:- 29-11-2023

MoU signed between ICAR CISH Lucknow Uttar Pradesh and MS Khandelwal Bio fertilizers Pvt Ltd Belagavi Karnataka

A MoU was signed for licensing the technology of CISH-Decomposer between ICAR-CISH Lucknow Uttar Pradesh and MS Khandelwal Bio-fertilizers Pvt Ltd, Belagavi Karnataka on 17.11.2023. This technology was developed, tested demonstrated and validated at the institute. Dr T. Damodaran Director ICAR-CISH Lucknow and Shri. S.S Khandelwal Director Khandelwal Biofertilizers Pvt. Ltd Belagavi were the signatories. Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) and Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) members were present on this occasion. CISH Decomposer is a potent formulation loaded with number of beneficial microbes which is very potential in accelerating the decomposition rate of organic waste. This initiative is another milestone in collaboration between both the parties related to technology transfer and commercialization as well as taking the ICAR-CISH technologies directly to the stakeholders use.

सब्जी बीज वितरण कार्यक्रम अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना के अंतर्गत..

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान द्वारा दिनांक 03-11-2023 को अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना के अंतर्गत सब्जी बीज वितरण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना से पंजीकृत 441 किसानों ने कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया। इस अवसर पर संस्थान की निदेशक डॉ.टी. दामोदरन, फसल सुधार प्रभाग के वैज्ञानिक एवं नोडल अधिकारी अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना डॉ. विशम्भर दयाल, फसल तुड़ाई उपरांत प्रबन्धन प्रभाग की प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. आभा सिंह, वैज्ञानिक डॉ. आलोक कुमार गुप्ता, डॉ. रवि एस.सी. एवं डॉ.अमरकांत कुशवाहा उपस्थित थे। कार्यक्रम में अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना के अंतर्गत सम्मिलित 441 किसानों को लहसुन, रबी प्याज लाल, रबी प्याज सफेद, मूली, गाजर, धनिया, सोया मैथी आदि सब्ज़ियों की बीज किट किसानों को किचन गार्डन तथा व्यवसायिक स्तर पर खेती करने हेतु वितरित किया गया।संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. टी. दामोदरन ने किसानों को विधिवत् खेती एवं बागवानी करने के विषय में विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान किया व किसानों को समूह बनाकर खेती करने एवं उत्पादन के विपणन के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। वैज्ञानिक डॉ.विशम्भर दयाल ने किसानों को लहसुन एवं रबी प्याज की व्यवसायिक खेती के लाभ के बारे में अवगत कराया कि लहसुन एवं प्याज का मसाला वर्गीय फसलों में प्रमुख स्थान है। यह ऐसी फसलें हैं जिनकी मांग वर्ष भर बनी रहती है इनकी खेती करके किसान बंधु अच्छी धनराशि प्राप्त कर सकते हैं तथा इन फसलों के विपणन में भी समस्या नहीं रहती। इसके अलावा मूली,धनिया, की खेती करके अच्छा मुनाफा कमाया जा सकता है। डॉ. विशम्भर दयाल ने किसानों को किचन गार्डन के लाभ के बारे में बताया कि वें इन सब्जियों को उगाकर ताजी पोषण युक्त एवं रसायन रहित तथा बाजार से खरीदने वाली दैनिक सब्जियों को घर तथा खेत में सुगमता से उगाकर सेवन कर सकते हैं। बीज वितरण कार्यक्रम संस्थान के निदेशक के तत्वाधान में सम्पन्न किया गया। बीज वितरण कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में वीरेंद्र कुमार गौतम एवं मोहम्मद शादाब की सक्रिय सहभागिता रही।

दिनांक 10 अक्टूबर 2023 को भाकृअनुप-केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेड़ा, लखनऊ द्वारा आयोजित “हॉर्टीकल्चर इंवेस्टर्स मीट-2023” में उत्तर प्रदेश की आम फल पट्टियों से आम का निर्यात बढ़ाने हेतु कृषि उत्पादन आयुक्त के साथ उद्यमियों की विस्तृत चर्चा हुई और एक फूड पार्क स्थापित कर आम की विभिन्न फल पट्टियों से दशहरी,लंग़डा और चौसा और आम की रंगीन किस्मों यथा अम्बिका,अरुणिका किस्मों के निर्यात को बढाने हेतु निवेश पर सहमति हुई । इस कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि, श्री मनोज कुमार सिंह, कृषि उत्पादन आयुक्त उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार के साथ इनोवा एग्री बायोपार्क, बेंगलुरू के प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. के. एस. रवि, खंडेलवाल बायोफर्टिलाइजर्स बेलगाम, कर्नाटक के अध्यक्ष डॉ. बाल कृष्ण एवम जैन इर्रिगेशन सिस्टम्स के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच सीधी वार्ता में निवेश हेतु आवश्यक नियमों और शर्तों पर सहमति प्राप्त की गयी। इस कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि, श्री मनोज कुमार सिंह,कृषि उत्पादन आयुक्त उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ किया और अपने सम्बोधन में उद्योगों को फूड्पार्क स्थापित करने के लिये जमीन उपलब्ध कराने और हर सम्भव सहायता का आश्वासन दिया। उन्होंने अपने सम्बोधन में बताया कि सरकार हर जिले में दो हाई टेक पौधशालायें स्थापित करने जा रही है जिससे कि किसानों की फल एवम सब्जियों की पौध की आवश्यकता पूरी करने में मदद मिलेगी। कार्यक्रम के द्वितीय सत्र में विभिन्न उद्योगों के प्रतिनिधियों एवं स्टार्ट अप प्रबंधकों और ए बी आई इंकुबेटी के साथ सीधी वार्ता की गई। उ. प्र. सरकार के कृषि अपर सचिव डॉ. देवेश चतुर्वेदी ने सहभागियों को सम्बोधित करते हुए प्रदेश के हित में सरकार की तरफ से हर तरह का सहयोग एवम सहायता दिलाने का आश्वासन दिया। इस अवसर पर इनोवा एग्री फूडपार्क, बेंगलुरू के प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. के. एस. रवि ने कर्नाटक में स्थापित फूड पार्क के बारे में विस्तृत चर्चा की और बताया कि फूड पार्क किस तरह दक्षिणी भारत के पांचो प्रदेशों के किसानों के उद्यानिकी उत्पादों के निर्यात में मदद कर रहा है। इसी तर्ज पर उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश में भी एक फूड पार्क स्थापित करने की योजना का प्रस्ताव दिया है। इस फूडपार्क के माध्यम से आम के साथ साथ अन्य फल और सब्जियों के निर्यात का रास्ता प्रदेशवासियों के लिये खुल जायेगा। उन्होंने अपने सम्बोधन में बताया कि गामा रेडिएशन की सुविधा युक्त समेकित पैक हाउस की स्थापना हेतु कंपनी निवेश करने जा रही है। इस अवसर पर इनोवा एग्री फूडपार्क, बेंगलुरू के प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. के. एस. रवि और केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेड़ा, लखनऊ के निदेशक डॉ. टी दामोदरन ने एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर भी हस्ताक्षर किये। इस अवसर पर संस्थान द्वारा विकसित सी आई एस एच बायोएन्हांसर (माइक्रोबियल कंशोर्शियम) के व्यावसायिक उत्पादन हेतु नेचर ग्रीन बायोम, नई दिल्ली के साथ भी एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किये इससे पूर्व अपने स्वागत भाषण में भाकृअनुप- केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेड़ा, लखनऊ के निदेशक डॉ. टी दामोदरन ने बताया कि मलिहाबाद आम फल पट्टी के बागवानों के उत्थान और उत्तर प्रदेश को एक मिलियन डॉलर अर्थव्यवस्था के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने में उद्यान के योगदान को बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से ही इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया है। इस अवसर पर संस्थान के डा. दामोदरन ने अपने भाषण में संस्थान द्वारा विकसित आम एवम अमरूद की नवीनतम किस्मों, फसल उत्पादन, फसल सुरक्षा एवं तुड़ाई उपरान्त प्रबंधन एवम प्रसंस्करण प्रौद्योगिकियों की विस्तृत चर्चा की। उन्होंने बताया कि संस्थान के सहयोग से बहुत से उद्यमी स्टार्ट उप और उद्यम भी स्थापित कर रहे हैं। उन्होने संस्थान प्रौद्योगिकियों का फायदा उठाने के लिये निवेशकों का आह्वान किया। संस्थान के पूर्व निदेशक डा. शैलेंद्र राजन ने संस्थान द्वारा विकसित किस्मों को अधिकाधिक मात्रा में पौधे तैयार कर सघन बागवानी की आवश्यकता को देखते हुए किसानों की पौधों सम्बंधी मांग पूरी करने का आह्वान किया। इस कार्यक्रम में भारतीय सब्जी अनुसंधान संस्थान से आये डॉ. पी. एम. सिंह ने सब्जियों की नवीनतम किस्मों और संस्थान द्वारा विकसित अन्य उत्पादन प्रौद्योगिकियां प्रस्तुत की। देश के विभिन्न कृषि उद्यमी,स्टार्टअप प्रबंधक, कृषि उत्पादक संघ, इत्यादि के साथ साथ देश के माने जाने संस्थानों एवम उद्योगों के प्रतिनिधि जैसे उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार के सी ई ओ (इंवेस्ट इन यू पी), एपीडा के महाप्रबंधक डा विनीता सुधांशु, खंडेलवाल बायोफर्टिलाइजर्स के अध्यक्ष डा. बाल कृष्ण एवम जैन इर्रिगेशन सिस्टम्स एवम वी एन आर के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ कुल 150 प्रतिभागियों ने प्रतिभाग किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन सुश्री निमिशा माहेश्वरी एव धन्यवाद ज्ञापनडॉ. मनीष मिश्र ने किया, कार्यक्रम के संयोजक डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा थे

Research Advisory Committee Meeting

Twenty seventh meeting of Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the Institute was convened during July 12-13, 2023 at the institute under the chairmanship of Dr. N. Kumar, Former Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The RAC Members, Dr. Jai Singh (Ex. Director, ICAR-CIPHET, and Ludhiana), Dr. Ambika B. Gaikwad (Principal Scientist, ICAR-NBPGR, and New Delhi), Dr.V.B. Patel (ADG, F&PC), Shri Indra Prakash Singh and Shri Jagmohan Singh Chand participated in the deliberations. Dr. Chandish Balal (Ex. Director, ICAR-NBAIR, Bengaluru) and Dr. A.N. Ganeshmurthy (Former Dean, College of Agriculture, CAU, Imphal) attended the meeting online. Director of the institute, Dr. T. Damodaran, presented the action taken report of previous RAC. Heads of the Divisions presented achievements of respective Divisions. The committee reviewed the ongoing research work in the institute and presented its recommendations/suggestions for future research work. Dr. Maneesh Mishra, Member Secretary, RAC presented vote of thanks.

संस्थान की अनुसंधान सलाहकार समिति (आरएसी) की सत्ताईसवीं बैठक 12-13 जुलाई 2023 के दौरान डॉ. एन कुमार पूर्व कुलपति तमिलनाडु कृषि विश्वविद्यालय कोयंबटूर तमिलनाडु की अध्यक्षता में संस्थान में आयोजित की गई। (आरएसी) सदस्यों डॉ. जय सिंह (पूर्व निदेशक, आईसीएआर सिफेट,लुधियाना) डॉ. अम्बिका बी. गायकवाड़ (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक आईसीएआर-एनबीपीजीआर,नई दिल्ली) डॉ. वी. बी. पटेल (एडीजी, एफएंडपीसी) श्री इन्द्र प्रकाश सिंह और श्री जगमोहन सिंह चंद्र ने विचार विमर्श में भाग लिया । डॉ. चंदीश बलाल (पूर्व निदेशक, आईसीएआर-एनबीएआईआर, बेंगलुरु) और डॉ. ए. एन गणेशमूर्ति (पूर्व डीन, कृषि महाविद्यालय सीएयू,इंफाल) ने बैठक में ऑनलाइन भाग लिया। संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. टी. दामोदरन ने पिछली आरएसी की कार्रवाई रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की! प्रभागो के प्रमुखों ने संबंधित प्रभागों की उपलब्धियों को प्रस्तुत किया। समिति ने संस्थान में चल रहे शोध कार्यों की समीक्षा की और भविष्य के शोध कार्यों के लिए अपनी सिफ़ारिशें/ सुझाव प्रस्तुत किए आरएसी के सदस्य सचिव डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा ने धन्यवाद प्रस्तुत किया।

हिंदी कार्यशाला 23.06.2023

संस्थान के निदेशक एवं राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति के अध्यक्ष डॉ.टी.दामोदरन की अध्यक्षता में दिनांक 23.06.2023 को एक हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें ‘आम में पौध संरक्षण की समस्याएं एवं भविष्य की रणनीति’ विषय पर व्याख्यान डॉ.एच.एस.सिंह प्रधान वैज्ञानिक एवं प्रभारी,प्रक्षेत्र,केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेडा द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया| आम में लगने वाले कीटों की समस्याएं एवं उनका सामयिक समन्वित प्रबंधन करने, पारिस्थितिकी संतुलन वनाये रखते हुए गुणवत्तायुक्त कीटनाशकों का प्रयोग करने तथा मौसम परिवर्तन को ध्यान में रखते हुए भविष्य की रणनीति के बारें में विस्तृत जानकारी से उपस्थित प्रतिभागियों को लाभान्वित किया| केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान के ही वैज्ञानिक डॉ.रवि एस.सी ने मलिहाबाद क्षेत्र में आम काश्त की विधाएं एवं समस्याएं विषय पर बोलते हुए बागवानों द्वारा अपनाई जा रही विधाओं एवं उनकी समस्याओं को चिन्हित करने के वारें में एक संछिप्त जानकारी उपस्थित सभी प्रतिभागियों वीच साझा की | संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ.टी.दामोदरन ने संस्थान द्वारा विकसित तकनीकों को बागवानों तक पहुंचनें में हिंदी भाषा के महत्व को इंगित किया| औद्यानिक प्रयोग प्रशिक्षण केंद्र,मलिहाबाद से नामित उद्यान अधिकारी/विषय विशेषज्ञ सहित केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान एवं इसके क्षेत्रीय केंद्र,माल्दा,(पश्चिम बंगाल) से कुल 50 वैज्ञानिकों/अधिकारियों/कर्मचारियों ने भौतिक एवं आनलाइन माध्यम से कार्यशाला में प्रतिभाग किया| कार्यक्रम का समन्वयन श्री अरविन्द कुमार,नोडल अधिकारी (राजभाषा ) द्वारा किया गया|

Strengthening the horticulture entrepreneurs by ICAR-CISH

ICAR-CISH, Agri-Business Incubation Centre, Lucknow organized an “Incubate-Mentors Brainstorming Meeting” on 10th May, 2023. In this meeting, different horticultural startup ideas of entrepreneurs were critically discussed with the expert scientists strengthen their ideas and convert them into successful startups. A total number of 21 participants (scientists / mentors, entrepreneurs / startups and stakeholders) attended the meeting. Entrepreneurs namely Mr. Gyanendra Kumar Raveendra and Mr. Pankaj Kumar from M/S Bongeo Industries Private Limited, Arjunganj Lucknow, Mr. Kunwar Vishal Singh from M/S K V Industries, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Mr. Pravesh Kumar (M/S Landtouch Agricultural Industries Pvt. Ltd., Kalyanpur Kewtani, Ayodhya), Mr. Shivang Bansal (M/S Seedling Agrotech, Banthra, Lucknow), Dr. Jyoti Dewan (M/S Shapez Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Gomti Nagar, Lucknow), Mr. Vishal Krishna Bipin (M/S Subhekshaa Agro Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Sharda Nagar, Lucknow) and Mr. Mirza Akram Baig (M/S Dr. Nature, Lucknow) joined the meeting. whereas, Mr. Yatendra Pratap Singh Tomar and Mr. Pradeep Dixit from M/s Lakshya Udai FPC, Hardoi, Mr. Sandeep Yadav, from Mango Pack House and Mr. RamJeevan, Progressive Mango Farmer, Mall, Malihabad participated as other stakeholders for networking and linkages. Principal Investigator of CISH-ABI, Dr. Maneesh Mishra welcomed and introduced all the participants. He emphasized on the importance of good startup incubation for the development and growth of any startup in the early stage. He also summarized the role and benefits of incubation at CISH-ABI. Dr. T. Damodaran, Director, ICAR-CISH warmly expressed appreciation for the growth and developments of startups and entrepreneurship in horticulture. He interacted with all startups directly and acknowledged that startups in the field of horticulture have vast opportunities of achievement with substantial outcome. The Director also guided the forward linkages to the startups like hydroponics technology startups may be further connected with government schemes like mid-day meal through PPP mode. Millet based startup may go into techno-commercial solutions. Development of wine from subtropical fruits like mango and guava etc. and export of mangoes are of high economic value, he added.

Mango Buyer-Seller Meet – 2023

A Mango Buyer-Seller Meet was organized by the Agri-Business Incubation Centre for mango export promotion on 28th April 2023. Mango exporters, farmers, traders, FPOs, Community based Organizations (CBO) from Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur and other nearby districts and ICAR-CISH scientists were linked through this meeting for the successful export of mango. The programme was inaugurated with lamp lightening & ICAR song by the Chief Guest, Dr. R.K. Pal, Advisor, FSSAI and Former Director, ICAR-NRC Pomegranate, Solapur, Dr. V.B. Patel, ADG, Fruit & Plantation Crops, ICAR, N. Delhi, Dr. B. K. Pandey, Former ADG, Horticulture ICAR, N. Delhi, Director, ICAR-CISH, Dr. T. Damodaran and other dignitaries. Dr. Maneesh Mishra, organizer of the event and Principal Scientist introduced all the experts and briefed about the meeting. Dr. Damodaran addressed that GI-125 Malihabad-Mango is a world class mango. However, it needs to be reached in various countries through developing a proper channel and export system. ICAR-CISH is providing a platform for establishing the connection of mango growers, FPO and CBO to the exporters. Moreover, the institute is ready to provide CISH technology of mango export for safe transportation in containers through sea route. Furthermore, Dr. B. K. Pandey shared the SOP of mango export with exporters and farmers and narrated the important points to be taken care from harvesting to export. Chief Guests, Dr. R.K. Pal and Dr. V.B. Patel expressed their words of appreciation for the efforts made for the development and support of mango farmers and export. They also assured to the stakeholders for their support and help in this endeavour. Mango growers, representatives of Awadh Aam Utpadak Ewam Bagwani Samiti and TAFARI FPC conveyed the problems of farmers in connecting with exporters. They also raised the issue of getting decent mango rates to the farmers. Sh. Dayashankar Singh from IRADA Foundation addressed the problem of middle man in trading and supply chain of mango. The exporter Mr. Akram Baig and Mr. Vaiju Gangadhara, Manager Administration, Fair Exports (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Lulu Group, India assured mango farmers to solve their problems and ready to take mangoes for export at their best prices. They mentioned that Indian mangoes have huge market and demand in international market and showed willingness to work with mango farmers. All the experts and participants visited the Mango Pack House, Malihabad for inspection of facilities of mango processing and packaging before export. About 57 mango growers were directly benefitted through this mango buyer and seller meet.

Participation of ICAR-CISH Lucknow of the post-budget webinar conducted by the MoAFW

ICAR-CISH, Lucknow participated in the post-budget webinar on Agriculture and Cooperatives conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Government of India on 24th February 2023. It was the second of a series of 12 post-budget webinars. The event was addressed by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He informed that Agricultural budget has now been increased to more than 125000 crores today. The prime minister highlighted that about Rs. Two lakh crores were spent on sum of all agricultural imports and it will be a win-win situation if somehow, we manage to save this money. He emphasized that various important decisions are being taken in agricultural budget in the direction, of making nation becomes atmanirbhar and the money used for imports can reach our farmers. He further mentioned the Digital Public Infrastructure platform and open platform of UPI for the agriculture sector announced in the budget this year. The prime minister proposed the accelerator fund for agri-tech start-ups. He added that Agri-Tech domains have immense possibilities of investment and innovation as India inhabits more 3000 agri-startups today. Furthermore the prime minister informed that government is working on the PM Pranam Yojana and Gobardhan Yojana for promoting natural farming and reducing chemical-based farming. The webinar was attended by the Director Dr. T. Damodaran and scientists Dr. H.S. Singh, Dr. Devendra Pandey Dr. S.R. Singh Dr. Maneesh Mishra, Dr. P.K. Shukla and Dr. Anil Kumar Verma. केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने 24 फरवरी 2023 को कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय भारत सरकार द्वारा आयोजित कृषि और सहकारिता पर पोस्ट बजट वेबिनार में भाग लिया। यह द्वितीय श्रृंखलाका का 12 पोस्ट-बजट वेबिनार था। इस कार्यक्रम को प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने संबोधित करते हुए बताया कि कृषि बजट बढ़कर 125000 करोड़ से अधिक हो गया है। प्रधान मंत्री ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि कुल सभी कृषि आयातों पर लगभग दो लाख करोड़ रुपये खर्च हुए यदि किसी प्रकार से हम इस खर्च को बचा पाने में सफल हो जाए तो यह एक बड़ा लाभ होगा। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि देश को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की दिशा में कृषि बजट में कई महत्वपूर्ण फैसले लिए जा रहे हैं जिससे आयात का पैसा हमारे किसानों तक पहुंच सके। उन्होंने आगे इस वर्ष बजट में घोषित कृषि क्षेत्र के लिए डिजिटल पब्लिक इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर प्लेटफॉर्म और यूपीआई के खुले मंच का उल्लेख किया। प्रधान मंत्री ने कृषि-प्रौद्योगिकी स्टार्ट-अप के लिए त्वरक निधि का प्रस्ताव रखा। उन्होंने कहा कि एग्री-टेक डोमेन में निवेश और नवाचार की अपार संभावनाएं हैं क्योंकि भारत में आज 3000 से अधिक कृषि-स्टार्टअप हैं। इसके अलावा, प्रधानमंत्री ने बताया कि सरकार प्राकृतिक खेती को बढ़ावा देने और रासायनिक आधारित खेती को कम करने के लिए पीएम प्रणाम योजना और गोवर्धन योजना पर काम कर रही है। वेबिनार में संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. टी. दामोदरन और वैज्ञानिक डॉ. एच.एस. सिंह डॉ. देवेंद्र पाण्डेय, डॉ. एस.आर. सिंह डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा डॉ. पी.के. शुक्ला और डॉ. अनिल कुमार वर्मा ने भाग लिया। इस मौके पर प्रगतिशील किसानों को बातचीत के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया। श्री दयाशंकर सिंह इरादा फाउंडेशन लखनऊ श्री शोभाराम केला उत्पादक अयोध्या श्री दीपक शुक्ला आम उत्पादक सीतापुर श्री राम किशोर मौर्य, आम की विविधता के संरक्षण के लिए सोसायटी लखनऊ और श्री उपेन्द्र सिंह अवध आम उत्पादक एवं बगवानी समिति लखनऊ ने कार्यक्रम में सम्मलित हुए और संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों से बागवानी पर चर्चा की

Kisan Diwas 2022

ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow Celebration of Special Day- Kisan Diwas (Farmers Day) was done by inviting farmers and stakeholders from flagship scheme of the institute Farmers First project. Smt. Jaya Devi MLA from Malihabad was the chief guest of the function. Director of CISH Dr. D. Pandey Welcomed the chief guest and Dr. PL Saroj introduced about the institute activities. Around 30 selected farmers participated in the event organized by the institute which was attended by the institute scientists and staff associated with the project. The farmers shared their experiences regarding technical knowhow and inputs that were given by the FF team and its leader Dr. Manish Mishra. Selected 6 farmers were felicitated for their good agriculture practices. The Awadh Aam Utpadak Samiti Chairman lamented the electricity bill problem for the farmers and urged the MLA for their redressal. The chief guest interacted with the farmers and was keen for their upliftment. The dignitaries paid their respect to Late Shri Chowdhary Charan Singh ji on his birth anniversary. The institute participated in KISAN DIWAS celebrations chaired by Agriculture Minister and organized by Secretary DARE and DG ICAR at New Delhi through virtual mode.

भा.कृ.अनु.प. केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने दिनांक 23 दिसंबर 2022 को भारत के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री और किसानों के मसीहा चौधरी चरण सिंह की जयंती के अवसर पर राष्ट्रीय किसान दिवस मनाया गया। जिसमें मलिहाबाद विधान सभा की जन प्रतिनिधि श्रीमती जय देवी, विधायिका मुख्य अतिथि थी। फार्मर फर्स्ट परियोजना के मुख्य अन्वेषक डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा ने परियोजना के उपलब्धियों के बारे में अवगत कराया। संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. देवेन्द्र पाण्डेय ने विज्ञान एवं तकनीक से बेमौसमी सब्जियों, फलों एवं फूलों की खेती, फल प्रसंस्करण एवं विपणन को बढावा देने पर जोर दिया। ड़ॉ. पी. एल. सरोज ने नवीनतम उद्यान तकनीक के बारे में किसानो को अवगत कराया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान मुख्य अतिथि श्रीमती जय देवी ने फार्मर फर्स्ट परियोजना से जुड़े छह प्रगतिशील किसानो को उनके अभिनव उद्यान तकनीकों के प्रयोग के लिए सम्मानित किया! उन्होंने किसानों को किसान दिवस की बधाई दी तथा संस्थान द्वारा किसान हित में किये जा रहे कार्य की सराहना की, किसानों ने पुरस्कार प्राप्त कर संस्थान के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया। इस गोष्टी में किसानों ने बढ़ चढ़ के उत्साह दिखाया और बागवानी से सम्बंधित समस्याओ को वैज्ञानिकों के सामने प्रस्तुत किया जिसका समाधान संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों ने बताया। संस्थान द्वारा आयोजित कार्यक्रम में लगभग 30 चयनित किसानों ने भाग लिया। जिसमें संस्थान के वैज्ञानिक और परियोजना से जुड़े कर्मचारी भी शामिल थे। संस्थान ने कृषि मंत्री की अध्यक्षता में किसान दिवस समारोह में वर्चुअल मोड के माध्यम से भाग लिया जो की नई दिल्ली में सचिव डेयर और डीजी आईसीएआर द्वारा आयोजित किया गया था । Event Date:- 23-12-2022

QRT visit CISH to Review AICRP ( fruits)

Quinquennial Review Team- 2022 for the AICRP-Fruits on mango and guava was organized at ICAR-CISH during 24-25th November, 2022. The programmes were evaluated under the period 2017-2022, running in different ICAR Institutes as well as State Agriculture Universities. The QRT meeting was chaired by Dr. V.A Parthasarathy (Former Director, ICAR-IISR Kozhikode) and conducted in virtual mode through coordination by Dr. Prakash Patil (Project Coordination -Fruits). During the 2 days deliberations 23 centers working on mango and 17 centers working on guava presented their five years achievements before the committee. All the CISH scientists attended the Inaugural session. The QRT reviewed the experiments laid out in the experimental farms of ICAR-CISH. The committee thanked the organizers for successful conduct of the programme.

Farmer-Scientist Interaction meeting on ‘Maintaining soil health for sustainable fruit production’ organized

ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized a Farmer-Scientist meeting on the topic ‘Maintaining soil health for sustainable fruit production’ under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 26 th August, 2022. On this occasion, Dr. N. P. Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda, Uttar Pradesh was the Chief Guest. Dr. Singh emphasized on the role of better soil health, balanced fertilizer use, and integrated nutrient management for the higher production of fruits and other horticultural crops while addressing the farmers and CISH staff. He exhorted the farmers to get their soils tested and use the manures and fertilizers based on Soil Health Card report. He observed that judicious nutrient management not only enhances the fruit yield and quality but also reduces the cost of production to a considerable extent while also minimizing the environmental pollution due to overuse of chemical fertilizers. Earlier, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelima Garg, Director, ICAR- CISH welcomed the Chief Guest and the farmers, and presented an overview of the activities being carried out under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at ICAR-CISH, Lucknow. On this occasion, some expert lectures were also presented for enhancing the knowledge and skill of the farmers. Dr. P. L. Saroj discussed about the prospects of commercial fruit cultivation in degraded lands. Dr. S. K. Shukla informed the gathering about improved cultivars and production technologies for sustainable mango cultivation. Dr. Dinesh Kumar discussed the role of integrated and precision nutrient management in augmenting the fruits yields and farmers’ incomes. Dr. P. K. Shukla delivered a talk on integrated insect-pest and disease management in mango. On this occasion, an Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between ICAR- CISH, Lucknow and BUA&T, Banda for strengthening the research collaboration in subtropical fruit crops. This program was attended by about 120 participants including about 80 SCSP beneficiary farmers who were also provided with grafted plants of Arunika mango variety for planting in their kitchen gardens. The program was coordinated by Dr. Karma Beer, Dr. Anshuman Singh and Dr. Vishambhar Dayal.

Capacity building programme on Funding Opportunities for Entrepreneurs through BIRAC under BIG Scheme

“उद्यमियों के लिए बीआईआरएसी के अंतर्गत बीआईजी योजना के तहत वित्तपोषण के अवसर” पर क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रम

भा.कृ.अ.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ द्वारा 25 जुलाई 2022 को स्टार्टअप इनक्यूबेशन एंड इन्नोवेशन सेंटर (एसआईआईसी), आईआईटी कानपुर के सहयोग से “उद्यमियों के लिए बीआईआरएसी के अंतर्गत बीआईजी योजना के तहत वित्तपोषण के अवसर” पर क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के जरिए उद्यमियों को जैव प्रौद्योगिकी उद्योग अनुसंधान सहायता परिषद (बीआईआरएसी), जैव प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग (डीबीटी), भारत सरकार की जैव प्रौद्योगिकी इग्निशन अनुदान (बीआईजी) योजना के बारे में बताया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत भा.कृ.अ.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं. के प्रधान वैज्ञानिक एवं प्रमुख अन्वेषक, एग्री बिजनेस इनक्यूबेशन केंद्र,डॉ.मनीष मिश्रा द्वारा की गई। उन्होंने भारत में उद्यमिता के प्रगतिशील परिदृश्य की वर्तमान स्थिति पर बोलते हुए कहा किवित्तीय अनुदान किसी भी स्टार्टअप की सफलता में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है। भा.कृ.अ.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान की निदेशिका, डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग ने जमीनी स्तर पर बागवानी में उद्यमशीलता और इसके परिस्थितिक तंत्र को मजबूत और समर्थन करने की बात कही। उन्होंने कहा कि आजकल छोटे पैमाने के उद्यमियों के लिए अनुदान के पर्याप्त अवसर हैं और उन्हें सरकार की विभिन्न योजनाओं के तहत दिए जाने वाले वित्त पोषित अनुदान का लाभ उठाना चाहिए। कार्यक्रम की प्रमुख वक्ता, सुश्री रोहिणी चावला, प्रबंधक, जैव कार्यक्रम, एसआईआईसी, आईआईटी कानपुर ने बीआईआरएसी की जैव प्रौद्योगिकी इग्निशन अनुदान (बी आई जी) योजना के बारे में विस्तार से बताते हुए कहा कि यह योजना स्टार्टअप्स, शोध विद्यार्थियों,अन्वेषकों, वैज्ञानिकों, शैक्षणिक संकाय-सदस्यों तथा तकनीकी कर्मचारियों के लिए अनुदान का एक अच्छा स्रोत है जिसके जरिए वे रु. पचास लाख तक की राशि के अनुदान का लाभ उठा सकते हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, सुश्री चावला ने बताया कि इस योजना में आवेदन करने वाले इच्छुक आवेदकों की सहायता के लिए एसआईआईसी, आईआईटी कानपुर का पूरा दल सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए तत्पर है। इस कार्यक्रम में कुल 34 प्रतिभागियों ने हाइब्रिड मोड (ऑनलाइन और ऑफलाइन) में भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम का संयोजन डॉ. शरद वर्मा, एबीआई, भा.कृ.अ.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ और एसआईआईसी, आईआईटी कानपुर से सुश्री मानस्विता पांडे द्वारा किया गया।

ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (CISH), Lucknow organized a capacity building programme for entrepreneurs on “Funding Opportunities for Entrepreneurs through BIRAC under BIG Scheme” in association with Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), IIT Kanpur on 25th July, 2022. Through this webinar, entrepreneurs came to know about the Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) Scheme of Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The event was introduced by Dr. Maneesh Mishra, Principal Scientist and Principal Investigator, Agri- Business Incubation (ABI) Centre, ICAR-CISH. He remarked on the current status and progressive scenario of entrepreneurship in India. Dr. Mishra spelt out that a good funding plays a crucial role in the success of any startup. The director of the ICAR-CISH, Dr. Neelima Garg, advocated for supporting and strengthening the horti-entrepreneurship ecosystem at ground level. Small scale startups have ample opportunities of funding now and they should utilize the benefits of various funding schemes of the government, she added. Ms. Rohini Chawla, Manager, Bio-Programs, key speaker from SIIC, IIT Kanpur, detailed about the Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) Scheme of BIRAC. She told that it is a very good source of funding for eligible startups, scholars, innovators, scientists, faculty members and technical staffs through which they can get the benefit of funding up to Rs.50 lakhs. Moreover, SIIC, IIT Kanpur team is ready to assist interested applicants for applying in the scheme. A total of 34 participants attended the webinar in hybrid mode (online and offline). डॉ.एन कुमार, पूर्व कुलपति, तमिलनाडु कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, कोयंबटूर, तमिलनाडु की अध्यक्षता में संस्थान में 22 और 23 जुलाई, 2022 के दौरान संस्थान की अनुसंधान सलाहकार समिति (आरएसी) की 26वीं बैठक बुलाई गई। आरएसी सदस्य, डॉ. चंदीश बलाल (पूर्व निदेशक, भाकृअनुप-एनबीएआईआर, बेंगलुरु), डॉ.जय सिंह (पूर्व निदेशक, भाकृअनुप-सिपेट, लुधियाना), डॉ.ए.एन. गणेशमूर्ति (पूर्व डीन, कृषि कॉलेज, केंद्रीय कृषि विश्वविद्यालय,इंफाल मणिपुर), डॉ. अंबिका बी. गायकवाड़ (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, आईसीएआर-एनबीपीजीआर, नई दिल्ली) ने विचार-विमर्श में भाग लिया। निदेशक महोदय ने पिछली आरएसी की कार्रवाई रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की। विभागाध्यक्षों ने संबंधित विभाग की उपलब्धियों को प्रस्तुत किया। सदस्य सचिव, आरएसी ने धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव प्रस्तुत किया। समिति ने संस्थान में चल रहे शोध कार्य की समीक्षा की और भविष्य के शोध कार्य के लिए अपनी सिफारिशें/सुझाव प्रस्तुत किए।

26 th meeting of Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the Institute was convened during July 22 and 23, 2022 at the institute under the Chairmanship of Dr. N. Kumar, Former Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The RAC Members, Dr. Chandish Balal (Ex. Director, ICAR-NBAIR, Bengaluru), Dr. Jai Singh (Ex. Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana), Dr.A.N. Ganeshmurthy (Former Dean, College of Agriculture, CAU, Imphal ), Dr. Ambika B. Gaikwad(Principal Scientist, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi) participated in the deliberations. Director presented the action taken report of last RAC. Head of Divisions presented achievements of respective Divisions. Member Secretary, RAC presented vote of thanks. The committee reviewed the ongoing research work in the Institute and presented its recommendations/suggestions for future research work.

Rural youth will increase income by planting banana nursery

केले की नर्सरी लगा कर आय बढ़ायेगें ग्रामीण युवा

भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान के फार्मर फर्स्ट परियोजना के अंतर्गत दिनांक 11-07-2022 को टिशू कल्चर केले के पौधे की सेकेंडरी हार्डनिंग नर्सरी से उद्यमिता विकास पर एक दिवसीय कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। फार्मर फर्स्ट परियोजना के मुख्य अन्वेषक डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा ने किसानों को टिशू कल्चर केले के प्राइमरी एवं सेकेंडरी हार्डनिंग नर्सरी से उद्यमिता विकास एवं नर्सरी में लगने वाले रोग, कीट एवं जल प्रबंधन आदि बिंदुओं के बारे में जानकारी दी उन्होंने बताया कि उत्तर प्रदेश में लगभग 68000 हेक्टेयर से अधिक क्षेत्र में केले की खेती होती है। प्रदेश में टिशू कल्चर केले के पौधे की मांग अधिक है, जिसमें कुछ प्रमुख जिले लखीमपुरखीरी, बाराबंकी, फैजाबाद गोरखपुर, कुशीनगर, महाराजगंज और इलाहाबाद है। संस्थान की निदेशक डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग ने बताया कि इस क्षेत्र में रोजगार की अपार संभावनाएं है। किसान एवं नवयुवक अपने खेत या बाग में शेड नेट लगाकर केले की सेकेंडरी हार्डनिंग करके अच्छा मुनाफा कमा सकते हैं। इस कार्यक्रम में माल प्रखंड के अंगीकृत गांव ढकवा, भानपुर हसनापुर के चयनित 10 ग्रामीण युवाओं को 1000 प्राइमरी अनुकूलित केले के पौध (जी-9 किस्म) दी गयी। इन पौधों को किसान अपने खेतों में सेकेंडरी अवस्था में दशानुकूलित कर केले का पौधा किसानों को बेचेगे। कम समय एवं कम लागत में यह एक अच्छा व्यवसाय साबित होगा। कार्यक्रम का समन्वय प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा द्वारा किया गया।

ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organizes interaction dialogue for promoting mango exports

ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized a farmer-scientist interaction program on May 21, 2022 involving progressive mango growers, scientists and APEDA officials for identifying and addressing the gaps stalling mango exports from Uttar Pradesh with focus on Dashehari mango. This program was organized under Amrit Bharat Mahotsav on the theme ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat: One District One product- Local to Global’. On this occasion, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelima Garg, Director, ICAR-CISH said that Dashehari mango produced in Lucknow and neighboring districts has a vast potential for export. She exhorted the farmers to adopt the best management practices to ensure that their Dashehari fruits meet the global export standards. She assured the mango growers of all possible scientific and technical help in this regard. She also presented an overview of various post-harvest management practices and value-added products in mango for enhancing the farmers’ income. Dr. C. B. Singh, Regional Head, APEDA discussed the role of various pre- and post-harvest practices in enhancing the cosmetic appeal of mango fruits that plays a crucial role in consumer acceptability of the Indian mangoes abroad. He said that proper harvesting, pre-cooling, grading and packaging were critical to ensure competitiveness in mango exports. He requested the farmers to apply only recommended pesticideswhile maintaining pre-harvest interval and maximum residue limit standards. Citing the success story of Zardalu mango exports from Bihar, he was optimistic that Dashehari mango growers will increasingly collaborate with other stakeholders in the mango supply chain- State Horticulture Department, APEDA, testing and certification agencies, pack-houses and exporters etc. to harness the export potential. Er. A. K. Verma, Senior Scientist delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Safe harvesting, ripening and storage practices for promoting mango exports’ and described in detail various post-harvest operations for producing the best quality mangoes for export. Earlier, Dr. R. A. Ram, Head, Crop Production Division welcomed all the participants and informed them about the importance of Atmanirbhar Krishi. He also briefly informed about use and benefits of CISH Bio-enhancer in horticultural crops. On this occasion, CISH Bio-enhancer was provided to the farmers free-of-cost. Some of the farmer participants raised their queries including problems in Horti-net registration which were replied by the concerned speakers. This program was attended by about 50 participants including mango growers and CISH staff. The program was coordinated by Dr. Anshuman Singh, Senior Scientist.

ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organizes Entrepreneurs Incubation Meet

ICAR-CISH Agri-Business Incubation Centre organized an “Entrepreneurs Incubation Meet” on March 23, 2022 at Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Rehmankhera, Lucknow. During the meet, various budding hortipreneurs from Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh presented their startup concepts and proposals on different horticultural technologies in the form of PPT presentation. They interacted and discussed their entrepreneurial ideas directly with the Acting Director, ICAR-CISH, Dr. Neelima Garg and various scientists of the institute in respective specialized areas. A total number of nine entrepreneurs and eight scientists joined the Entrepreneurs Incubation Meet. Dr. Maneesh Mishra, P.I., Agri-Buisness Incubation Centre appraised about the current scenario of horticulture startups in India, process & procedure pertaining to incubation at ABI and its growth. Dr. Neelima Garg, Acting Director, ICAR-CISH interacted with each candidate regarding their proposals and encouraged them.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, रहमानखेड़ा लखनऊ द्वारा आयोजित दिनांक 17 जनवरी 2022 को अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना के अंतर्गत गेंदा बीज वितरण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें अंगीकृत प्रखंड काकोरी एवं माल के करझन, दसदोइ, बिगहूं, सैदापुर, रनियामऊ, बंसीगढ़ी एवं काकराबाद आदि गांवों से लगभग 60 किसानों ने भाग लिया । इस अवसर पर भाकृअनुप- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान की निदेशक महोदया डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग, व फसल सुधार विभाग के कार्यकारी विभागाध्यक्ष एवं प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. देवेंद्र पाण्डेय, फसल उत्पादन विभाग के प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ अशोक कुमार एवं अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना के नोडल अधिकारी डॉ. विशंभर दयाल वैज्ञानिक उपस्थित थे कार्यक्रम के दौरान निदेशक महोदया डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग ने किसानों को बताया कि गेंदा एक बहुत ही उपयोगी एवं आसानी से उगाया जाने वाला बारहमासी पौधा है यह मुख्य रूप से सजावटी फसल है परंतु इसके साथ-साथ इसका उपयोग कई विभिन्न चिकित्सीय एवं औषधीय रूपों में उपयोग किया जाता है। गेंदे की खेती करके अच्छा मुनाफा कमाया जा सकता है व इसके साथ-साथ गेंदे के फूलों से अन्य उत्पाद जैसे अगरबत्ती, अर्क एवं सौन्दर्य उत्पाद भी बनाए जा सकते हैं। सभा में किसानों को संबोधित करते हुए डॉ विशंभर दयाल ने बताया गेंदा एक लोकप्रिय फूल है जिसका प्रयोग शादी समारोह, सामाजिक एवं धार्मिक कार्यों में साज-सज्जा के रूप में अहम भूमिका निभाता है डॉ. विशंभर दयाल ने गेंदे की खेती से संबंधित कई मुख्य बिंदु किसानों के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किए जैसे गेंदे की खेती के लिए उपयुक्त मिट्टी, जलवायु, गेंदा की किस्मों का चयन, खाद एवं उर्वरकों का प्रयोग कब और कितनी मात्रा में करें, बीजों की बुवाई, पौधरोपण, सिंचाई तथा कीट व खरपतवार नियंत्रण एवं गेंदे के बीज से नर्सरी बनाकर खेती करना आदि विशेष बिंदुओं पर विस्तार पूर्वक विचार विमर्श किया। समारोह में निदेशक महोदया डॉ. देवेंद्र पाण्डेय एवं डॉ. अशोक कुमार ने मंच पर गेंदा की खेती करने वाले इच्छुक किसानों को बैंगलोरा ऑरेंज नामक प्रजाति के गेंदे का बीज प्रदान किया एवं उनका उत्साहवर्धन किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. विशंभर दयाल द्वारा समस्त गतिविधि गृह मंत्रालय के द्वारा जारी कोविड 19 के दिशा निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए की गई।

Scientist-Farmer interaction meeting under Amrut Bharat Mahotsav

अमृत भारत महोत्सव के तहत वैज्ञानिक-कृषक संवाद बैठक

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने दिनांक 7 जनवरी, 2022 को उच्च उत्पादकता एवं आय हेतु उच्च-तकनीक बागवानी विषय पर एक वैज्ञानिक-कृषक संवाद बैठक का आयोजन किया। आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव के तहत आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य किसानों को कृषि उपज, गुणवत्ता एवं उनके उत्पादों के बाजार मूल्य में सुधार हेतु कृषि प्रौद्योगिकियों में सुधार के बारे में जागरूक करना था। इसका उद्देश्य उद्यमियों को कृषि-व्यवसाय उद्यम के रूप में उच्च-तकनीक बागवानी का उपयोग करने के लिए प्रेरित करना भी था। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प. कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ के उद्घाटन भाषण से हुई। उन्होंने सब्जियों में हाइड्रोपोनिक (मृदा-विहीन खेती) के महत्व एवं किसानों तथा हितधारकों की आय को दोगुना करने हेतु अमरूद की छत्र प्रबंधन तकनीकों के बारे में बताया। संस्थान के आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम समिति के अध्यक्ष डॉ आर.ए.राम ने किसानों के साथ आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव मनाने के सन्दर्भ पर प्रकाश डाला। तत्पश्चात सब्जी विज्ञान के प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. एस.आर. सिंह ने उच्च मूल्य वाली सब्जियों की खेती के लिए हाइड्रोपोनिक्स एवं एरोपोनिक्स के उपयोग पर व्याख्यान दिया। उन्होंने आने वाले समय में तेजी से बढ़ती आबादी का पेट भरने के लिए सब्जियों के बड़े पैमाने पर उत्पादन हेतु मृदा-विहीन सब्जियों की खेती की अपार संभावनाओं पर जोर दिया। प्रधान वैज्ञानिक (बागवानी) डॉ. कंचन कुमार श्रीवास्तव ने उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले अमरूद उत्पादन के लिए काट छांट की एस्पालियर प्रणाली विषय पर सभी श्रोताओं के ज्ञान को बढ़ाया। इस कार्यक्रम में फार्मर-फर्स्ट परियोजना से जुड़े लखनऊ के किसानों के साथ भारत के विभिन्न भा.कृ.अनु.प. के संस्थानों, विश्वविद्यालयों के वैज्ञानिकों, शोधार्थियोंवशिक्षाविदों सहित 80 लोगो ने भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. पी.बर्मन एवं डॉ.कर्म बीर ने किया।

ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized a Scientist-Farmer interaction meeting on the theme High-tech Horticulture for higher productivity and income on January 7, 2022. This programme was organized under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, with the aim of sensitizing the farmers about improved farm technologies for improving agriculture yields, quality and market value of their products. It was also aimed at motivating the entrepreneurs to use high-tech Horticulture as an agri-business enterprise. The programme was started with the inaugural address by Dr. Neelima Garg, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow. She stressed the importance of hydroponic cultivation of vegetables and canopy management techniques of guava for doubling the income of farmers and stakeholders. The event started with the talk of Dr. R.A. Ram, Chairman of Amrut Mahotsav programme committee who highlighted the role of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav in augmenting farmers’ income. Dr. S.R. Singh, Principal Scientist of Vegetable Science, delivered a lecture on the use of hydroponics and aeroponics for the cultivation of high value vegetables. He emphasized on the immense potential of soilless vegetable cultivation for large scale production of vegetables to feed the rapidly growing population in the coming times. Dr. K.K. Srivastava, Principal scientist (Horticulture), enhanced the knowledge of all the audience on “Espalier system of training for high quality guava production”. The programme was attended by 80 participants including scientists, research scholars from various ICAR institutes along with farmers of Lucknow associated with the Farmer FIRST Project. The programme was coordinated by Dr. P. Barman and Dr. Karma Beer.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने सप्ताह भर चलने वाले जय किसान जय विज्ञान समारोह के अवसर पर दिनांक 27 दिसंबर, 2021 को एक कृषक-वैज्ञानिक संवाद का आयोजन किया। कार्यक्रम की विवरण डॉ. (श्रीमती) नीलिमा गर्ग, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं. द्वारा दिया गया। संवाद के दौरान डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने बागवानी-उद्यमियों के विकास के लिए भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं द्वारा हालिया पहल के बारे में चर्चा की और उन्होंने कृषि-व्यवसाय ऊष्मायन, बागवानी-उद्यमिता में एक स्टार्ट-अप कैसे शुरू किया जाए के साथ-साथ अमरूद एवं अदरक के व्यावसायीकरण हेतु प्रसंस्करण प्रौद्योगिकी की मौजूदा प्रथाओं के बारे में बताया। । उन्होंने बताया कि भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं., ने फलों और सब्जियों से उच्च मूल्य वर्धित उत्पादों की एक विस्तृत श्रृंखला विकसित की है और बाजार संपर्क, किसान स्वयं सहायता समूह, किसान उत्पादक संगठन और बागवानी-उद्यमिता को बढ़ावा देकर उन्हें लोकप्रिय और व्यावसायीकरण करने के प्रयास चल रहे हैं। बातचीत के दौरान किसानों ने कृषि-व्यवसाय ऊष्मायन (एबीआई) इकाई के बारे में जानना चाहा, इस संबंध में श्री शरद वर्मा ने किसानों को एबीआई के बारे में जानकारी दी, उन्होंने फॉर्म भरने और पंजीकरण की पूरी प्रक्रिया के बारे में बताया। इस कार्यक्रम में लगभग 50 किसानों और संस्थान के कर्मचारियों ने भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. कर्मा बीर और डॉ. पी. बर्मन ने किया।

ICAR- Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized a Farmer-Scientist Interaction meet on 27th December, 2021 on occasion of week-long Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan celebrations. The programme was briefed by Dr. (Mrs.) Neelima Garg, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow. During this interaction Dr. Maneesh Mishra, Principal Scientist discussed about “Recent initiatives by ICAR- CISH for developing the horti-preneurs” and he highlighted about agri-business incubation, how to start a start-up in horti-preneurship, existing practices of technology commercialization and processing of guava & ginger. He informed that ICAR-CISH has developed a wide range of high value added products from fruits and vegetable and efforts are underway to popularize and commercialize them by creating market linkages, farmers Self-Help Groups, Farmer Producer Organizations and by promoting horti-preneurship. During the interaction farmers wished to know about agri-business incubation (ABI) unit in this regards Shri Sharad Verma briefed to farmers about ABI, he explained the entire process of form filling and registration. This program was attended by about 50 farmers and Institute staff. Dr. Karma Beer and Dr. P. Barman coordinated the program.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने सप्ताह भर चलने वाले जय किसान जय विज्ञान समारोह की शुरुआत को चिह्नित करने के लिए 23 दिसंबर, 2021 (राष्ट्रीय किसान दिवस) पर एक किसान-वैज्ञानिक-छात्र संवाद बैठक का आयोजन किया। इस अवसर पर डॉ. (श्रीमती) नीलिमा गर्ग, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं. ने कहा कि बागवानी फसलों से अधिकतम आर्थिक लाभ प्राप्त करने एवं फल और सब्जी प्रसंस्करण कचरे को धन में बदलने के लिए वैज्ञानिक मूल्यवर्धन अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। उन्होंने बताया कि भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं. ने उच्च मूल्य के फल एवं सब्जी उत्पादों की एक श्रृंखला विकसित की है और बाजार संपर्क, किसान स्वयं सहायता समूह, किसान उत्पादक संगठन और बागवानी-उद्यमिता को बढ़ावा देकर उन्हें लोकप्रिय बनाने और व्यवसायीकरण करने के प्रयास चल रहे हैं। उन्होंने उपस्थित किसानों को अपनी आय बढ़ाने के लिए आम के गूदे के प्रसंस्करण पर जोर देने के साथ ऐसी मूल्यवर्धनतकनीकों को अपनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। उन्होंने छात्र प्रशिक्षुओं को भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं. से अत्याधुनिक ज्ञान एवं कौशल हासिल करने के लिए भी प्रेरित किया; जैसे कि बागवानी उद्योग अनुसंधान, प्रौद्योगिकी विकास, तकनीकी सेवाओं, परामर्श और बागवानी आधारित स्टार्टअप जैसे क्षेत्रों में व्यापक कैरियर एवं व्यावसायिक अवसर प्रदान करता है। इससे पहले, फसल उत्पादन प्रभाग के प्रमुख डॉ. आर.ए. राम ने कीटनाशक मुक्त, पोषक तत्वों से भरपूर और प्रीमियम गुणवत्ता वाली बागवानी फसलों के उत्पादन के लिए विभिन्न जैविक एवं बायोडायनामिक बागवानी प्रथाओं का अवलोकन प्रस्तुत किया। डॉ. दुष्यंत मिश्र, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने पुराने और अनुत्पादक आम के बागों को फिर सेलाभदायक के लिए लघु और मध्यम अवधि के छत्र प्रबंधन रणनीतियों के बारे में विस्तार से चर्चा की। इस कार्यक्रम में लगभग 30 किसानों, 25 छात्र प्रशिक्षुओं और संस्थान के कर्मचारियों ने भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. अंशुमान सिंह और डॉ. कर्मबीर ने किया।

On this occasion, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelima Garg, Director, ICAR-CISH stressed that scientific value addition is critically important for getting maximum economic returns from horticultural crops, and for converting fruit and vegetable processing wastes into wealth. She also informed that ICAR-CISH has developed a range of high value fruit and vegetable products and efforts are underway to popularize and commercialize them by creating market linkages, farmers’ Self-Help Groups, Farmer Producer Organizations and by promoting horti-preneurship. She encouraged the farmers present to adopt such value addition technologies with emphasis on processing of mango pulp for augmenting their incomes. She also exhorted the student trainees to acquire state-of-the-art knowledge and skills from ICAR-CISH; as horticultural industry offers vast career and business opportunities in fields like research, technology development, technical services, consulting and horti-based startups, among others. Earlier, Dr. R. A. Ram, Head, Crop Production Division presented an overview of various organic and biodynamic horticultural practices for producing pesticide free, nutri-rich and premium quality horticultural crops. Dr. Dushyant Mishra, Principal Scientist discussed in detail about short- and medium-term canopy management strategies to rejuvenate senile and unproductive mango orchards. This program was attended by about 30 farmers, 25 student trainees and Institute staff. Dr. Anshuman Singh and Dr. Karma Beer coordinated the program.

कृषि शिक्षा दिवस के अवसर पर भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ द्वारा अपशिष्ट से धन प्रबंधन विषय पर स्कूली बच्चों के साथ संवाद कार्यक्रम का आयोजन

आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव के तहत भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ द्वारा कृषि शिक्षा दिवस के अवसर पर दिनांक 3 दिसम्बर, 2021 को "अपशिष्ट से धन प्रबंधन" विषय पर महात्मा गांधी इंटर कॉलेज, मलिहाबाद, लखनऊ के छात्रों के साथ संवाद कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य स्कूली बच्चों को कृषि क्षेत्र में शामिल विभिन्न कृषि प्रौद्योगिकियों और अवसरों के बारे में जागरूक करना था। डॉ. (श्रीमती) नीलिमा गर्ग, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. ने स्कूली बच्चों को कृषि शिक्षा दिवस के महत्व के साथ-साथ अपशिष्ट से धन प्रबंधन के बारे में भी बताया। उन्होने कचरे को उपयोगी उत्पादों में बदलने हेतु संस्थान द्वारा विकसित उन्नत बागवानी प्रौद्योगिकियों पर प्रकाश डाला जो किसानों और हितधारकों को आय उत्पन्न कर सकते हैं। महात्मा गांधी इंटर कॉलेज, मलिहाबाद, लखनऊ के प्राचार्य ने कार्यक्रम के संचालन में सहयोग किया एवं संस्थान द्वारा की जाने वाली विभिन्न शोध गतिविधियों को जानने के लिए स्कूली बच्चों का संस्थान के भ्रमण की इच्छा व्यक्त की। कार्यक्रम में लगभग 100 छात्रों ने भाग लिया और इसका संचालन डॉ. आर. ए. राम और डॉ. कर्माबीर ने किया।

Under the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized the programme with students of Mahatma Gandhi Inter College, Malihabad, Lucknow on the occasion of Agriculture Education Day 3rd December, 2021. The aim of the programme was to sensitize the school children about various agricultural technologies and opportunities involved in agriculture field. Dr. Mrs. Neelima Garg, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow addressed the school children about the importance of Agricultural Education Day. She also talked about the Waste to Wealth Management. She highlighted the improved horticultural technologies developed by ICAR-CISH to convert the waste into useful products that can generate income to the farmers and stakeholders. Principal of the Mahatma Gandhi Inter College, Malihabad, Lucknow co-operated for conducting the programme and expressed his desire to conduct a visit of school children to the institute for knowing the various research activities which are performed by institute. About 100 students attended the programme and it was coordinated by Drs. R.A. Ram and Karmabeer.

आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव के तहत भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने दिनांक 26 नवंबर, 2021 को विद्यास्थली इंटर कॉलेज, कनार, मलिहाबाद के कृषि और पर्यावरण: नागरिक चेहरा विषय पर भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. परिसर में छात्रों के साथ संवाद कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य स्कूली बच्चों को बागवानी उत्पादन के संदर्भ में विभिन्न पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूक करना था। कार्यक्रम के आरम्भ में, डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने उद्यमिता एवं रोजगार हेतु कृषि क्षेत्र में अवसरों पर प्रकाश डाला। डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक ने सुरक्षित वातावरण एवं बागवानी उत्पादों के निर्यात हेतु सतत बागवानी उत्पादन के साथ-साथ संस्थान द्वारा विकसित उन्नत बागवानी प्रौद्योगिकियों के बारे में भी बताया। छात्रों ने संस्थान के प्रक्षेत्र एवं अनुसंधान प्रयोगशालाओं का भ्रमण किया। नागरिकों में पर्यावरणीय जिम्मेदारी की भावना पैदा करने के लिए छात्रों द्वारा कृषि एवं पर्यावरण से संबंधित एक नाटक का आयोजन भी किया गया। कार्यक्रम में लगभग 50 छात्रों एवं 50 किसानों ने भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. अंशुमान सिंह व डॉ. कर्म बीर ने किया।

Under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme, ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized an interaction programme with students of Vidhyasthali Kanar Inter College, Malihabad on the theme Agriculture and Environment: The Citizen Face at ICAR-CISH, Lucknow on November 26, 2021. The aim of the programme was to sensitize the school children about various environmental issues in context of horticultural crop production. At the outset of programme, Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow highlighting the opportunities in agriculture sector for entrepreneurship and employment. Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director emphasized on sustainable horticultural production for a safe environment and export of horticultural produce. Dr Rajan also highlighted about improved horticultural technologies developed by ICAR-CISH to enhance the farmers’ income. Students visited the experimental field and research laboratory of the Institute. A drama was played by students related to agriculture and environment to inculcate a sense of environmental responsibility among the peoples. About 50 students and 50 farmers attended the programme. The Programme was coordinated by Dr. Anshuman Singh and Dr. Karma Beer.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने दिनांक 1 नवंबर, 2021 को विद्यास्थली इंटर कॉलेज, कनार, मलिहाबाद, लखनऊ में कृषि और पर्यावरण: नागरिक चेहरा: स्कूली बच्चों (भविष्य के नेताओं एवं नागरिकों) के साथ बातचीत विषय पर वैज्ञानिकों-छात्रों की संवाद बैठक का आयोजन किया। आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव के तहत आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य स्कूली बच्चों को बागवानी उत्पादन के संदर्भ में विभिन्न पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूक करना था। कार्यक्रम के आरम्भ में डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने छात्रों एवं शिक्षकों को संबोधित करते हुए प्राकृतिक संसाधनों का संरक्षण करते हुए किसानों की आय बढ़ाने हेतु भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. द्वारा विकसित उन्नत बागवानी प्रौद्योगिकियों के बारे में बताया। उन्होंने कृषि पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र पर पर्यावरणीय स्थिति के प्रभाव के बारे में बताया। उन्होंने छात्रों को भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ का भ्रमण करने एवं बागवानी फसलों में उन्नत तकनीकों से परिचित कराने के लिए आमंत्रित किया। बैठक के दौरान, कई छात्रों ने कीट प्रकोप, गैर-मौसमी सब्जी की खेती, आम आधारित खेती प्रणाली, प्राकृतिक संसाधन संरक्षण आदि से संबंधित प्रश्न उठाए, जिनका वैज्ञानिकों ने उत्तर दिया। विद्यास्थली की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती अंशु शर्मा ने कहा कि स्कूली बच्चों में पर्यावरणीय जिम्मेदारी की भावना पैदा करने के लिए इस तरह की पाठ्येतर गतिविधियों और विशेषज्ञों के साथ बातचीत आवश्यक है। कार्यक्रम में लगभग 200 छात्र-छात्राओं, स्कूल के शिक्षकों और अन्य कर्मचारियों ने भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. अंशुमान सिंह व डॉ. कर्म बीर ने किया।

ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized a Scientists-Students interaction meeting on the theme Agriculture and Environment: The Citizen Face: interacting with school children (the future leaders and citizens) at Vidyasthali Inter College, Kanar, Malihabad, Lucknow on November 1, 2021. This program, organized under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ aimed to sensitize the school children about various environmental issues in context of horticultural production. At the outset of programme, Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow addressing the school children and faculty, underlined about improved horticultural technologies developed by ICAR-CISH to enhance the farmers’ income, while conserving the natural resources. He informed about the impact of environmental condition on agriculture ecosystem. He invited the school children to visit ICAR-CISH, Lucknow and get them acquainted with improved technologies in horticultural crops. During meeting, several students raised queries related to insect-pest outbreaks, off-season vegetable cultivation, mango-based farming systems, natural resource conservation, etc. that were replied by the scientists. Mrs. Anshu Sharma, Principal, Vidyasthali said that such extra-curricular activities and interactions with experts were necessary to inculcate a sense of environmental responsibility among the school children. The programme was attended by about 200 students, school faculty and other staff. The Programme was coordinated by Dr. Anshuman Singh and Dr. Karm Beer.

Farmers Scientists Interface on Climate Resilient varieties, Technologies and Practices and Live Telecast of Honorable Prime Minister

जलवायु अनुकूल किस्मों, प्रौद्योगिकियों एवं प्रथाओं पर किसान-वैज्ञानिक वार्ता एवं माननीय प्रधान मंत्री का सीधा प्रसारण

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ ने दिनांक 28 सितंबर, 2021 को जलवायु आधारित किस्मों, प्रौद्योगिकियों एवं प्रथाओं पर किसान-वैज्ञानिक वार्ता का आयोजन किया। कार्यक्रम में मलिहाबाद के 100 से अधिक किसानों ने भाग लिया। इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में प्रसिद्ध पर्यावरणविद् एवं जनता के बीच लोकप्रिय पेड बाबा श्री आचार्य चंद्र भूषण तिवारी उपस्थित थे। इस अवसर पर, वैज्ञानिकों और किसानों ने माननीय प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के ऑनलाइन संबोधन में भाग लिया। जिसमें पीएम ने विशेष लक्षणों वाली 35 फसलों की किस्मों का विमोचन किया, वस्तुतः राष्ट्रीय जैविक तनाव प्रबंधन संस्थान (एनआईबीएसएम) रायपुर का उद्घाटन किया, देश भर के किसानों के साथ बातचीत की और कृषि विश्वविद्यालयों को ग्रीन कैंपस पुरस्कार प्रदान किये।

इस अवसर पर डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-के.उ.बा.सं. ने किसानों को उन फल फसलों के बारे में बताया जो जलवायु के नकारात्मक प्रभाव को सहन कर सकती हैं। किसानों को कीटों एवं पौधों की बीमारियों पर जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रभाव, कीट की जलवायु स्मार्ट प्रथाओं और बागवानी फसलों के रोग प्रबंधन, जलवायु स्मार्ट सब्जी उत्पादन के बारे में भी अवगत कराया गया। समारोह के मुख्य अतिथि ने विशेष रूप से किसानों को फ्रूट फ्लाई ट्रैप, केले के पौधे (जी-9), अमरूद (सीआईएस धवल) और सब्जी के बीज किट वितरित किए। बदलती जलवायु परिस्थितियों में किसानों ने कीट, कीट एवं रोग से संबंधित अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों ने चरम मौसम की स्थिति में रोग एव कीट प्रबंधन के लिए शमन रणनीति के बारे में बताया।

उपरोक्त विषय पर संस्थान के क्षे.अनु.के. एवं के.वी.के., मालदा (पश्चिम बंगाल) में भी किसान गोष्ठी-सह-किसान वैज्ञानिक वार्ता का आयोजन किया गया। वैज्ञानिकों ने कृषि में जलवायु आधारित कृषि, जलवायु स्मार्ट कृषि के बारे में महिला कृषिकों और ग्रामीणों को जानकारी दी। इस संवाद बैठक और प्रधानमंत्री के लाइव टेलीकास्ट कार्यक्रम से लगभग 105 किसान और किसान महिलाएं लाभान्वित हुईं।

ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organized Farmer-Scientist interaction meeting on Climate Resilient Varieties, Technologies and Practices on September 28, 2021. More than 100 farmers from Malihabad participated in the programme. In this programme, Sri Archaya Chandra Bhushan Tiwari, famous environmentalist and popularly known among masses Ped Baba was present as chief guest. At this juncture, Scientists and farmers attended online address of Honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi. In which PM released 35 crops varieties with special traits, virtually inaugurated National Institute on Biotic Stress Management (NIBSM) Raipur, interacted with famers across the country and bestowed Green Campus award to the agriculture universities.

On this occasion, Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH underlined about the fruit crops which can with stand the negative impact of climate. Farmers were also apprised about impact of climate change on pest and diseases of plants, climate smart practices of pest and disease management of horticultural crops, climate smart vegetable production. The Chief guest of function distributed fruit fly traps, plants of banana (G-9), guava (CISH Dhawal) and seed kit of vegetable to particularly farmers. Farmers expressed their views pertaining to insect, pest and disease under changing climatic conditions. The scientists of Institute explained mitigation strategy for disease and pest management under extreme weather condition.

A Kisan Goshthi-cum-Farmers Scientist Interface was also organized at Institutes RRS & KVK, Malda (West Bengal) under the theme of Climate Resilient Verities, Technologies and Practices. Scientists briefed about interacted Climate Resilient in Agriculture, Climate Smart Agriculture to the farm women and villagers. About 105 farmers and farm women were benefitted from this interaction meeting and PM live telecast programme.

Innovator-Farmer Meet for promoting Nutri-sensitive Agriculture and Horti-entrepreneurship under Amrut Bharat Mahotsav programme

अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत पोषक तत्वों के प्रति संवेदनशील कृषि एवं बागवानी-उद्यमिता को बढ़ावा देने हेतु नवप्रवर्तक-किसान बैठक का आयोजन

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने दिनांक 3 सितम्बर, 2021 को अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत पोषक तत्वों के प्रति संवेदनशील कृषि एवं बागवानी-उद्यमिता को बढ़ावा देने हेतु नवप्रवर्तक-किसान बैठक का आयोजन किया। जिसमें 30 स्वयं सहायता समूह और एफपीओ, बागवानी-नवप्रवर्तक और प्रगतिशील बागवानी विशेषज्ञ सहित कुल 100 प्रतिभागी शामिल हुए। कार्यक्रम के प्रारंभ में, डॉ. एस. राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. ने पोषण-संवेदनशील एवं आर्थिक रूप से आकर्षक नवाचारों के माध्यम से किसानों की आय बढ़ाने के लिए संस्थान द्वारा किये गए प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला। डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने किसानों की आय एवं पोषण सुरक्षा में सुधार के लिए फार्मर्स-फर्स्ट परियोजना के योगदान के बारे में बताया। डॉ. अशोक कुमार, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने पोषक तत्वों से भरपूर गैर-पारंपरिक शाक फसलों के माध्यम से किसानों की आय बढ़ाने के बारे में जानकारी दी। कार्यक्रम के दौरान, कुछ प्रतिभागियों ने आम आधारित एकीकृत खेती, गुणवत्ता रोपण सामग्री का उत्पादन, जैविक सब्जी उत्पादन और मूल्य संवर्धन जैसे क्षेत्रों में अपनी सफलताओं एवं अनुभवों को भी साझा किया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में, डॉ. एस. राजन ने नवगठित माल आम किसान उत्पादक संगठन और दुर्गा शक्ति स्वयं सहायता समूह के सदस्यों को आम के उत्पादन, प्रसंस्करण एवं विपणन हेतु नवीन विचारों को लागू करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया, जिसमें दशहरी आम के अमावट (मैंगो लेदर) पर अधिक जोर दिया गया। जिसकी बाजार में अपार संभावनाएं हैं। कार्यक्रम का संचालन एवं समन्वयन डॉ. अंशुमान सिंह, वैज्ञानिक ने किया।

ICAR- CISH, Lucknow organized an Innovator-Farmer Meet on the theme Nutri-sensitive Agriculture under Amrut Bharat Mahotsav programme on September 3, 2021. A total of 100 participants including 30 Self-Help Group and FPO members, horti-innovators and progressive horticulturists were attended the programme. At the outset of programme, Dr. S. Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH highlighted the Institutes effort for perk up the farmers income through nutrition sensitive and economically attractive innovation. Dr. Maneesh Mishra, Principal Scientist underlined about contribution of Farmer- FIRST project to improving the farmers income and nutrition security. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Principal Scientist informed about the increasing the farmers income through nutri-rich non-conventional vegetable crops. During the programme, some participants also shared their successes and experiences in areas like mango-based integrated farming, production of quality planting material, organic vegetable production and value addition. At the end of programme, Dr. S. Rajan exhorted the members of newly formed Mal Mango Farmer Producer Organization and the Durga Shakti SHG to apply innovative ideas for mango production, processing and marketing, including greater emphasis on Dashehari mango amavat (mango leather) that has huge market potential. Dr. Anshuman Singh, Scientist coordinated the conducted the programme.

Scientist-Farmer Dialogue on the topic Food and Nutrition for Farmers under Amrit Bharat Mahotsav programme

अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत किसानों के लिए भोजन और पोषण विषय पर वैज्ञानिक-कृषक संवाद

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने दिनांक 26 अगस्त, 2021 को अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत किसानों के लिए भोजन और पोषण विषय पर वैज्ञानिक-कृषक संवाद बैठक का आयोजन किया। जिसमें अनुसूचित जाति उपयोजना के तहत गोद लिए गाँव से 50 किसानों सहित स्वयं सहायता समूहों / गैर-सरकारी संगठनों (जैसे, स्वावलंबन महिला एसएचजी, विजेता कल्याण फाउंडेशन, सहभागिता, आदि) के 10 प्रतिनिधि भी उपस्थित थे। कार्यक्रम के प्रारंभ में, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, डॉ. आर.ए. राम ने किसानों को अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत की जा रही विभिन्न गतिविधियों की संक्षिप्त जानकारी दी। किसानों और अन्य प्रतिभागियों को स्वास्थ्य लाभ के लिए दैनिक आहार में विविध फलों और सब्जियों को शामिल करने के लिए जागरूक किया गया। डॉ. एस. आर. सिंह, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने रासायनिक मुक्त फलों और सब्जियों की वर्ष भर उपलब्धता हेतु न्यूट्री-गार्डन की स्थापना के विभिन्न पहलुओं के बारे में बताया। डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने फार्मर्स-फर्स्ट परियोजना एवं उसके द्वारा किसानों की आय बढ़ाने के विभिन्न पहलुओं के बारे में जानकारी दी। डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. ने किसानों को विभिन्न प्रकार के फल एवं सब्जियों में पाए जाने वाले बायोएक्टिव यौगिकों एवं उनसे होने वाले स्वास्थ्य लाभ के बारे में बताया। बैठक के दौरान किसानों ने फलों एवं सब्जियों की खेती से सम्बंधित समस्याओ के बारे में सवाल किये जिनका संबंधित विशेषज्ञों द्वारा जवाब दिया गया। बैठक के उपरांत किसानों एवं अन्य प्रतिभागियों को कागजी नींबू के पौधे प्रदान किए गए। डॉ. अंशुमन सिंह, वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक ने कार्यक्रम का संचालन किया।

ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized a Scientist-Farmer Dialogue on the topic Food and Nutrition for Farmers under Amrit Bharat Mahotsav programme on August 26, 2021. A total 50 farmers from adopted village of SCSP along with 10 representatives of Self Help Groups/Non-Government Organizations (e.g., Swavalamban Mahila SHGs, Vijeta Kalyan Foundation, Samhayi, etc.) were present in programme. At the outset of the programme, Dr. R.A. Ram, Principal Scientist briefed the farmers about the various activities being carried out under the Amrit Bharat Mahotsav programme. Farmers and other participants were sensitized about to include diverse fruits and vegetables in daily diet for health benefits. Principal Scientist Dr. S.R. Singh apprised about the various aspects of establishment of Nutri-Garden for year round availability of chemical free fruits and vegetables. Principal Scientist, Dr. Manish Mishra gave information about the Farmers-First project and various aspects to perk up the income of farmers through it. Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH briefed the farmers about the bioactive compounds found in different types of fruits and vegetables and the health benefits from them. During the meeting, the farmers raised questions regarding the problems related to the cultivation of fruits and vegetables, which were answered by the concerned experts. After the meeting, Kagaji lemon saplings were distributed to the farmers and other participants. Dr. Anshuman Singh, Senior Scientist conducted the programme.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., क्षे.अनु.के. मालदा द्वारा दिनांक 26 अगस्त, 2021 को हबीबपुर प्रखंड के गोद लिए अनुसूचित जाति एवं जनजाति गांवों में अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत किसानों के लिए भोजन और पोषण विषय पर वैज्ञानिक-किसान बातचीत बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। किसानों को मानव पोषण में फलों, सब्जियों और मछलियों की भूमिका के बारे में जागरूक किया गया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान डॉ. अंतरा दास, वैज्ञानिक एवं डॉ. शैलेश कुमार, विषय विशेषज्ञ (एसएमएस) ने किसानों से बातचीत की। डॉ. शैलेश कुमार ने किसानों से संतुलित आहार एवं उनके लाभ के बारे में चर्चा की। उन्होंने किसानों को प्रोटीन, कार्बोहाइड्रेट, सूक्ष्म पोषक तत्वों जैसे विटामिन और खनिजों के स्रोत एवं मानव स्वास्थ्य में उनकी भूमिका के बारे में भी बताया।

Farmers were sensitized about the role of fruits, vegetables & fishes in human nutrition. During the programme Dr. Antara Das, Scientist and Dr. Shailesh Kumar, SMS to interact with farmers. Dr. Shailesh Kumar discussed with farmers about balanced diet and their benefit . He also underlined about source and role of proteins, carbohydrate, micronutrients such as vitamins & minerals in human health.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., एग्री-बिज़नेस इन्क्यूबेशन केंद्र लखनऊ ने दिनांक 23 अगस्त, 2021 को एक ऑनलाइन उद्यमी संवाद बैठक का आयोजन किया। बैठक में उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, पश्चिम बंगाल एवं हरियाणा राज्य के कुल 15 नवोदित बागवानी उद्यमियों ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से भाग लिया। बैठक की शुरुआत में डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा (पीआई, एबीआई) ने केंद्र की उपलब्धियों और गतिविधियों के बारे में बताया. बैठक के दौरान, प्रतिभागियों ने संस्थान को अपने स्टार्टअप प्रस्ताव प्रस्तुत किए एवं उसे साझा किए। डॉ. एस. राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने सभी प्रतिभागियों के साथ बातचीत की और उनके स्टार्टअप प्रस्तावों पर चर्चा की। कुछ प्रस्ताव दिलचस्प और अभिनव पाए गए।

A total number of 15 budding horti- entrepreneurs from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Haryana state were attended the meeting through video conferencing. ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organized Scientist-Farmer interaction meet under FARMER-FIRST project

फार्मर-फर्स्ट परियोजना के तहत वैज्ञानिक-कृषक बैठक का आयोजन

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने दिनांक 13 अगस्त 2021 को वैज्ञानिक-कृषक बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। बैठक का उद्देश्य किसानों के दुधारू पशुओं के लिए महंगे चारे की समस्या का समाधान करना था। जिसमें फार्मर-फर्स्ट परियोजना के तहत मलिहाबाद प्रखंड के गोद लिए गांव से 35 किसानों (आम बागवान) ने भाग लिया। डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. ने किसानों को अपने आम के बागों में कम लागत वाला चारा उगाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। बैठक के दौरान किसानों को बारहमासी ज्वार के बीज एवं पैनिकम घास की जड़ वितरित की गयी। प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, डॉ. एस. के. शुक्ल ने कार्यक्रम का संचालन एवं डॉ. मनीष मिश्र (परियोजना अन्वेषक, फार्मर-फर्स्ट) ने कार्यक्रम का समन्वय किया।

ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organized Scientist-Farmers interaction meet under FARMER-FIRST project on August 13, 2021. The meeting was aimed to solve the problem of costly fodder for the milch animals of the farmers. A total of 35 farmers (mango growers) from the adopted village of Malihabad block were participated in meeting. Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH interacted with farmers and encouraged them to grow low cost fodder in their mango orchards. During the meeting, seeds of perennial Sorghum and root slips of Panicum grass were distributed to the farmers. Principal Scientist, Dr. S.K. Shukla conducted the programme, whereas Dr. Manish Mishra (PI, FFP) coordinated the programme

संस्थान में दिनांक 22 जुलाई, 2021 को डॉ. एन. कुमार, कुलपति, तमिलनाडु कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, कोयंबटूर, तमिलनाडु की अध्यक्षता में ऑनलाइन मोड के माध्यम से 25वीं अनुसंधान सलाहकार समिति की बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। अनुसंधान सलाहकार समिति के सदस्य, डॉ. चंडीश बलाल (पूर्व निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- राष्ट्री य कृषि कीट संसाधन ब्यूिरो, बेंगलुरु), डॉ. जय सिंह (पूर्व निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केन्द्रीय कटाई उपरान्त अभियांत्रिकी एवं प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान लुधियाना), डॉ. ए.एन. गणेशमूर्ति (डीन, कृषि कॉलेज, केंद्रीय कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, इंफाल मणिपुर), डॉ अंबिका बी गायकवाड़ (प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-राष्ट्रीय पादप आनुवंशिक संसाधन ब्यूरो, नई दिल्ली) ने निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ, अध्यक्ष, प्राथमिकता निर्धारण निगरानी एवं मूल्यांकन प्रकोष्ठ, सभी वैज्ञानिकों एवं संबंधित विभागों के प्रभागाध्यक्ष ने बैठक में भाग लिया। समिति ने संस्थान के संस्थान में चल रहे शोध कार्यो की समीक्षा की और साथ ही भविष्य के शोध कार्यो हेतु अपने सुझाव प्रस्तुत किये।

25th meeting of Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the Institute convened through online mode on July 22, 2021 under the Chairmanship of Dr. N. Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The RAC Members, Dr. Chandish Balal (Ex. Director, ICAR-NBAIR, Bengaluru), Dr. Jai Singh (Ex. Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana), Dr. A.N. Ganeshmurthy (Dean, College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal Manipur), Dr. Ambika B Gaikwad (Principal Scientist, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi) participated in the deliberations along with Director, ICAR-CISH, PME Chairman, all the scientists and Heads of respective divisions. The committee reviewed the ongoing research work in the Institute and presented its recommendations/suggestions for future research work.

Online Scientist-Farmer Interaction Meeting under Amrut Bharat Mahotsav programme

अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत वैज्ञानिक-कृषक संवाद बैठक

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने दिनांक 16 जुलाई, 2021 को अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के तहत वैज्ञानिक-कृषक संवाद बैठक का आयोजन किया। कार्यक्रम के प्रारंभ में, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, डॉ. आर.ए. राम ने संक्षेप में अमृत भारत महोत्सव कार्यक्रम के उद्देश्यों और किसानों को बागवानी फसल उत्पादन में आत्मनिर्भर (आत्मनिर्भर) बनाने हेतु भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. द्वारा किए जा रहे प्रयासों के बारे में बताया। डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. ने किसानों को सशक्त बनाने एवं उनकी आय बढ़ाने हेतु संस्थान की प्रौद्योगिकियों एवं पहलों का अवलोकन प्रस्तुत किया। उन्होंने किसानों को उत्पादन की लागत को कम करते हुए और प्राकृतिक संसाधनों के संरक्षण के साथ-साथ अधिकतम लाभ प्राप्त करने के लिए सर्वोत्तम प्रबंधन प्रथाओं और नवीन विपणन रणनीतियों को अपनाने का आह्वान किया। किसान प्रतिभागियों को उभरती हुई लाभदायक फसलों और उद्यमों जैसे हल्दी, अदरक, आम आधारित मुर्गी पालन, बागवानी फसलों के बीज उत्पादन एवं मशरूम की खेती के बारे में अवगत कराया गया। इसके अलावा निदेशक महोदय ने उद्यमिता एवं संसाधन साझाकरण को बढ़ावा देकर किसानों और ग्रामीण युवाओं को सशक्त बनाना, किसान उत्पादक संगठन और महिला स्वयं सहायता समूह बनाना, बीज गांवों का विकास करना, आम एवं अन्य फसलों में बेहतर आपूर्ति श्रृंखला प्रबंधन हेतु किसानों के कौशल में सुधार करने हेतु संस्थान द्वारा किये जा रहे हर संभव प्रयास के बारे में जानकारी दी। कार्यक्रम में लखनऊ जिले के नबीपनाह, ढाकवा, भदवाना एवं मोहम्मदनगर तालुकेदारी गाँव के लगभग 40 किसानों ने भाग लिया।

ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow organized a online Scientist-Farmer Interaction Meeting under ‘Amrut Bharat Mahotsav’ program on July 16, 2021. At the outset of programme, Dr. R.A. Ram, Principal Scientist briefly informed about objectives of the ‘Amrut Bharat Mahotsav’ program and the efforts being made by ICAR-CISH for making the farmers self-reliant (atmanirbhar) in horticultural crop production. Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH presented an overview of the CISH technologies and initiatives for empowering the farmers and augmenting their incomes. He exhorted the farmers to adopt best management practices and innovative marketing strategies for getting maximum returns while reducing the cost of production and conserving the natural resources. Farmer participants apprised about emerging profitable crops and enterprises like turmeric, ginger, mango-based poultry farming, seed production of horticultural crops and mushroom cultivation. He said that CISH is making all possible efforts for empowering the farmers and rural youth by promoting entrepreneurship and resource sharing, creating Farmer Producer Organizations and women’s Self-help Groups, developing ‘Seed Villages’, and improving farmers’ skills for improved supply chain management in mango and other crops. About 40 farmers from Nabipanah, Dhakwa, Bhadwana and Mohammadnagar Talukedari village of Lucknow district participated in this programme.

संस्थान अनुसंधान समिति की 44वीं बैठक

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ में दिनांक 28-29 दिसंबर, 2020 को संस्थान अनुसंधान समिति (आई.आर.सी.) की 44वीं बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन, निदेशक एवं संस्थान अनुसंधान समिति के अध्यक्ष ने अपनी प्रारंभिक टिप्पणी में संस्थान की प्रगति का विस्तृत विवरण दिया। डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक एवं संस्थान अनुसंधान समिति के सदस्य सचिव ने 43वीं आई.आर.सी. कार्रवाई की रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की। बैठक के दौरान संस्थान के वैज्ञानिको ने अपनी अनुसंधान उपलब्धि का ब्यौरा प्रस्तुत किया। संस्थान के नव पदस्थापित वैज्ञानिकों ने भी अपने शोध प्रस्ताव का विवरण प्रस्तुत किया।

Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director and Chairman of Institute Research Committee gave a detailed account of the progress of the Institute in his introductory remarks. Dr. Manish Mishra, Principal Scientist and Member Secretary of Institute Research Committee presented proceeding of 43rd IRC. During the meeting, the scientists of the institute presented the details of their research achievement. The newly posted scientists of the institute also presented the details of their research proposal.

कार्यक्रम की आख्या - हिंदी दिवस 14 सितम्बर 2020

केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान , रहमानखेड़ा लखनऊ में आज हिंदी दिवस 2020 के अवसर पर वेबिनार का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे संस्थान के कार्यकारी निदेशक डॉ घनश्याम पांडेय, प्रभागाध्यक्ष (फसल उत्पादन ) ने “हिंदी में वैज्ञानिक लेखन का महत्त्व” विषय पर सम्बोधन किया तथा यह सुझाव भी दिया कि हमारी जो भी अनुसंधान उपलब्धियाँ , शोध पत्रों के माध्यम से शोध पत्रिकाओं में छपती है यदि उनका केवल सारांश ही हिंदी में दिया जाने लगे तो भी एक अच्छी पहल होगी।

कार्यक्रम में मुख्या वक्ता श्री धीरज शर्मा उपनिदेशक (राजभाषा), राष्ट्रीय डेरी अनुसंधान संस्थान, करनाल ने भी सम्बोधित किया तथा राजभाषा के नियमो, प्रावधानों के बारे में विस्तार से बताया, कार्यक्रम में डॉ नीलिमा गर्ग, प्रभागाध्यक्ष (तुड़ाई उपरान्त प्रबंधन प्रभाग) ने भी अपने विचार व्त्यक्त किए। कार्यक्रम का सञ्चालन डॉ दुष्यंत मिश्र , प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने तथा समापन डॉ देवेंद्र पांडेय प्रभागाध्यक्ष (फसल सुधार प्रभाग) ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ किया।

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान एवं एसडीएसएच ने संयुक्त रूप से विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस मनाने के लिए दिनांक 5 जून, 2020 को सतत जीवनयापन के लिए बागवानी फसल विविधता का संरक्षण विषय पर एक ऑनलाइन संवाद का आयोजन किया। जिसमे तीन प्रख्यात वैज्ञानिकों ने बागवानी विविधता के संरक्षण पर वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से अपना व्याख्यान दिया। डॉ. वी. ए. पार्थसारथी, भूतपूर्व निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- भा.म.अनु.सं. कोझिकोड ने बागवानी फसल की विविधता पर संरक्षण के बारे में बात की। डॉ. एस. राजन, निदेशक भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने आम की विविधता के लिए समुदाय आधारित संरक्षण दृष्टिकोण पर विचार-विमर्श किया एवं डॉ. विशाल नाथ, निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- रा.ली.अनु.कें., मुजफ्फरपुर ने लीची विविधता की वृद्धि पर अपने विचार साझा किए। इस ऑनलाइन संवाद में शिक्षाविद, शोधकर्ता और छात्र गूगल मीट के माध्यम से शामिल हुए।

Three eminent scientists delivered their lecture through video conferencing on conservation of horticultural diversity. Dr. V.A. Parthasarathy, Ex. Director ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode spoke about conservation on heirloom variety of horticultural crop. Dr. S. Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow deliberated on Community based conservation approach for mango diversity and Dr. Vishal Nath, Director, ICAR-NRCL, Muzaffarpur shared his views on Enhancement of Litchi diversity. Academician, researcher and students joined this online dialogue through google meet.

Online Entrepreneurs Meet at ICAR-CISH, Lucknow

ऑनलाइन उद्यमी संवाद

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, के एग्री-बिज़नेस इन्क्यूबेशन केंद्र ने दिनांक 4 जून, 2020 को ऑनलाइन उद्यमियों की बैठक आयोजित की। जिसमे दिल्ली, यूपी एवं महाराष्ट्र राज्यों के कुल 14 नवोदित कृषि-उद्यमियों ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. एस. राजन एवं अन्य वैज्ञानिक उपदेशकों के साथ बातचीत की। संस्थान का एग्री-बिज़नेस इन्क्यूबेशन केंद्र विभिन्न बागवानी तकनीकों जैसे कि फलों के प्रसंस्करण और मूल्यवर्धन, बागवानी फसलों के डिजिटल विपणन, केले के बायोइम्यूनाइज्ड टिशू कल्चर प्लांट, फ्रूट फ्लाई ट्रैप, मैंगो मिली बग के लिए ट्री बैंडिंग, ऑनफॉर्म इनपुट एवं जैविक उत्पादन, इत्यादि में उद्यमियों को संभालने जा रहा है। संवाद के दौरान नवोदित कृषि-उद्यमियों को विस्तार से कार्य योजना प्रस्तुत करने के लिए कहा गया ताकि वे समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर, घर में ही प्रशिक्षण, आदि किए जा सकें एवं उद्यमी उत्पाद / प्रोटोटाइप के विकास की शुरुआत कर सकें।

Agri-Business Incubation centre of ICAR-CISH organized online Entrepreneurs Meet on June 4, 2020. A total number of 14 budding agri-entrepreneurs from Delhi, U.P and Maharashtra states interacted with Dr. S. Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH and other mentors through video conferencing. ABI is going to hand hold entrepreneurs in various horticultural technologies such as processing and value addition of fruits, digital marketing of horticultural crops, bioimmunized tissue culture plant of banana, fruit fly trap, tree banding for mango mealy bug, on form input and organic production etc. During the dialogue, the budding agro-entrepreneurs were asked to submit a detailed action plan so that they could sign MoUs, in-house training, etc. and entrepreneurs can initiate the development of the product / prototype.

फ्रंट रनर्स के साथ बैठक

अनुसूचित जाति उप योजना के तहत संस्थान में दिनांक 18 फरवरी, 2020 को फ्रंट रनर्स के साथ बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। बैठक में कुल 31 फ्रंट रनर्स उपस्थित थे। फ्रंट रनर्स को कुकुरबीट्स कुल के पौधों जैसे कि ककड़ी, लौकी, करेला, पानी तरबूज, खरबूज आदि के समय पूर्व उत्पादन के बारे में अवगत कराया गया। बैठक के दौरान, फ्रंट रनर्स को कुकुरबीट्स कुल के पौधों को अनुसूचित जाति के किसानों को वितरित करने के साथ तकनीकी जानकारी देने का काम सौंपा गया।

Institute organized an interaction meet with front runners under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan on February 18, 2020. A total of 31 front runners were present in the meeting. Front runners were apprised about the early production of cucurbits like Cucumber, Gourd, Bitter gourd, Water melon, Musk melon etc. During the meeting, the front runners were assigned the work to distribute the cucurbits plant with technical knowhow to the SC farmers.

During the meeting, all Heads of Division and In-charge, RRS Malda presented the research achievements from a period of April, 2013- March, 2018 of their respective divisions. On this occasion, Dr. Jag Mohan Singh Chauhan unveiled three publications of Institute viz., Amrood Utpadan Ki Naveen Takneek, Mushroom Utpadan Evam Prasanskaran and Root Knot Disease of Guava: Identification and Management. The Q.R.T. team also visited nursery block, hydroponics facility, experimental field and laboratories of the Institute where Dr. Shailendra Rajan appraised the team about the work being carried out by Institute.

Distribution of plant seed to SC Farmers

अनुसूचित जाति के किसानों को पौधे के बीज का वितरण

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने दिनांक 08.11.2019 को मलिहाबाद ब्लॉक के 32 गाँवों के अनुसूचित जाति के किसानों के बीच यमुना सफ़ेद (जी -4) नामक लहसुन की उन्नत किस्म का बीज का वितरण किया। इस प्रमाणित बीज सामग्री की व्यवस्था राष्ट्रीय बागवानी अनुसंधान और विकास प्रतिष्ठान द्वारा की गयी थी। इस कार्य का उद्देश्य अनुसूचित जाति के किसानों की लहसुन बीज का हब विकसित करने और उसी के आगे ग्राम बीज विनिमय के माध्यम से आजीविका में सुधार करना है। इस प्रयोजन के लिए, लहसुन की बीज को अगले मौसम की फसल के लिए उपलब्ध कराने हेतु भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. के वैज्ञानिको के दिशा निर्देशन में इसका उत्पादन किसानों के खेतों में ही किया जायेगा।

ICAR-CISH distributed seed of an improved variety of garlic named Yamuna Safed (G-4) among Schedule Caste farmers of 32 villages of Malihabad block, Lucknow on 08.11.2019. The Certified seed material was arranged through National Horticultural Research and Development Foundation. The aim of this task is to be improved the livelihood of SC farmers via developing seed hub of garlic and further inter village seed exchange of the same. For this purpose, the seed material of garlic will be produced under guidance of scientists from ICAR-CISH at farmers field for their availability to next season crop.

Pasricha, Ex-Head, Deptt. of Soil Science, PAU, Ludhiana, Dr. Prem Shankar Singh, Professor & Head, Deptt. of Entomology, BHU, Varanasi, Dr. C. Aswath, Ex- Head, Division of Biotechnology, ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru, Dr. Abhijit Kar, Pr. Scientist, Division of Post Harvest Technology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi participated in the deliberations along with Director, ICAR-CISH, all the scientists and Heads of respective divisions. Buyer-Seller meet organized at ICAR-CISH

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. में क्रेता-विक्रेता बैठक का आयोजन

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., रेहमानखेड़ा में दिनांक 27.06.2019 को क्रेता-विक्रेता बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। इस बैठक का मुख्य उदेश्य उत्तर प्रदेश से अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजारों में आम और आम उत्पादों के निर्यात को बढ़ावा देना था। क्रेता कृषि और प्रसंस्कृत खाद्य उत्पाद निर्यात विकास प्राधिकरण (एपीडा) और भारतीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग महासंघ (फिक्की) के सहयोग से आयोजित अंतर्राष्ट्रीय निर्यात संवर्धन कार्यक्रम के तहत आए थे। बैठक में 16 देशों- संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, इटली, चीन, रूस, मलेशिया, इंडोनेशिया, सिंगापुर, हांगकांग, बांग्लादेश, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात, ओमान, सऊदी अरब, बहरीन, ईरान और वियतनाम के क्रेताओं के साथ भारतीय क्रेता और एपीडा के महाप्रबंधक श्री वी.के. वत्स, सहायक महाप्रबंधक डॉ. सी.बी. सिंह एवं अन्य अधिकारी गण भी शामिल थे। बैठक के दौरान, विदेशी क्रेताओं ने मलिहाबादी जीएपी (अच्छी कृषि प्रथाओं) प्रमाणीकृत आमों में रुचि दिखाई। डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन (निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं.) क्रेताओं की इच्छाओं के जवाब में बताया कि संस्थान ने आम के लिए जीएपी प्रमाणीकरण दिशानिर्देश विकसित किए हैं और मलिहाबाद आम के बागों के प्रमाणीकरण के लिए एपीडा से सहयोग माँगा है जिससे कि कम से कम 2000 किसानों को अच्छी कृषि प्रथाओं द्वारा आम का उत्पादन करने के लिए जीएपी प्रमाणपत्र मिल सके।

ICAR-CISH organized buyer-seller meeting on 27.06.2019. The main objective of this meeting was to promote the export of mangoes and mango products in the international markets from Uttar Pradesh. The buyers came under the International Export Promotion Program organized by the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The buyers from 16 countries- United States of America, Italy, China, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Iran and Vietnam along with Indian buyers were participated in meeting. Shri V.K. Vats (General Manager, APEDA) and Dr. C.B. Singh (Assistant General Manager, APEDA) were also present in meeting. During the meeting, foreign buyers showed interest in GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certified Malihabadi mangoes. In response to the needs of the buyers Dr. Shailendra Rajan (Director, ICAR-CISH) notify that Institute has developed GAP certification guidelines for the mango and sought cooperation from APEDA for GAP certification of mango orchards of Malihabad so that at least 2000 farmers could get GAP certificates to produce mangoes through good agricultural practices.

मधुमक्खी पालन पर हितधारकों की बैठक

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र, मालदा ने हितधारको के साथ दिनांक 25.06.2019 को एक बैठक आयोजित की। जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य मालदा जिले में मधुमक्खी पालन उद्योग हेतु विभिन्न मुद्दों पर चर्चा करना था। बैठक में मुख्य अतिथि श्री सुब्रत मंडल (मुख्य महाप्रबंधक, नाबार्ड क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय, कोलकाता), और प्रो. रॉबर्ट स्पूनर हार्ट (प्रोफेसर, पश्चिमी सिडनी विश्वविद्यालय, ऑस्ट्रेलिया), श्री कृष्णेंदु नंदन (उपनिदेशक, बागवानी, मालदा), श्री सतीश कुमार सिंह (जिला विकास प्रबंधक, नाबार्ड, मालदा), श्री सुभाष मंडल (सचिव, मालदा बी-कीपिंग एंड हनी प्रोसेसिंग क्लस्टर इंडस्ट्रियल को-ऑपरेटिव सोसाइटी लिमिटेड) विशेष अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित थे। बैठक में चर्चा की शुरुवात करते हुए डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन (निदेशक, भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं.) ने भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र, मालदा के मधुमक्खी पालन उत्कृष्टता केंद्र की भूमिका एवं मधुमक्खी पालको को प्रदान की जाने वाली सेवाओं को रेखांकित किया। बैठक में गुणवत्ता शहद उत्पादन, डंकविहीन मधुमक्खियों के संवर्धन, मधुमक्खी कालोनियों के प्रवास और शहद की बिक्री के लिए मधुमक्खी पालकों को होने वाली समस्याओं पर हितधारकों के साथ चर्चा हुई और मालदा में मधुमक्खी पालन उद्योग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए संकल्प लिए गए।

ICAR-CISH, RRS, Malda, organized a stakeholder meeting on 25.06.2019. The main purpose of stakeholder meeting was to discuss various issues of beekeeping industry of Malda district. The chief guest of this meeting was Mr. Subrata Mandal (Chief General Manager, NABARD Regional Office, Kolkata), and Prof. Robert Spooner Hart (Professor, WSU, Australia), Mr. Krishnendu Nandan (Deputy Director of Horticulture, Malda), Mr. Satish Kumar Singh (District Development Manager, NABARD, Malda), Mr. Subhash Mandal (Secretary, Malda Bee-Keeping and Honey Processing Cluster Industrial Co-operative Society Limited, Malda were present as special guest. on this occasion, Dr. Shailendra Rajan (Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow) underlined the role of Center for Beekeeping Excellence of ICAR-CISH, RRS, Malda. A detail discussion on quality honey production, promotion of stingless bees, migration of bee colonies and the problems faced by beekeepers for selling of honey were held and few resolution have been taken-up for boosting the beekeeping industry in Malda.

ICAR-CISH bid to empowers scheduled caste farmers

भा.कृ.अनु.प.- कें.उ.बा.सं. लखनऊ ने विभिन्न बागवानी आधारित उद्यम के माध्यम से अनुसूचित जाति समुदाय के निर्धन एवं भूमिहीन किसानों के आजीविका में सुधार हेतु दिनांक 05.02.2019 को मलिहाबाद ब्लॉक के 30 आमंत्रित अनुसूचित जाति के किसानों के साथ वैज्ञानिक-कृषक बैठक किया। कें.उ.बा.सं. के निदेशक डॉ. एस. राजन ने बताया कि संस्थान, भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद की अनुसूचित जाति उप योजना के तहत गरीबी रेखा के नीचे जीवनयापन करने वाले निर्धन एवं भूमिहीन किसानों के आय में उत्थान के लिए उन्नत तकनीकों के प्रदर्शन एवं प्रशिक्षण के माध्यम से सुअर पालन, वर्मीकम्पोस्टिंग, मशरूम उत्पादन, पोषक-उद्यान, अनुबंध खेती और कच्चे आम के अतिरिक्त कृषि मूल्य संवर्धन में मदद करेगा। इसके अलावा संस्थान कृषि अपशिष्ट को सुअर के चारे में बदलने के लिए भी मदद करेगा। बैठक के दौरान किसानों ने अनुसूचित जाति के कृषको के लिए एक स्वयं सहायता समूह बनाने पर इच्छा जताई।

ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow invited 30 schedule cast farmers of Malihabad block for Scientist-Farmer interaction meet on 05.02.2019. The main aim of this meeting was to be discuss the perk up the livelihood of the poor and landless farmers of scheduled caste community through various horticulture-based ventures. Dr. S. Rajan, Director-CISH interacted with invited farmers and told that, under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan of the Indian Council Agricultural Research, CISH will help in upliftment of living standard of landless, breathing below the poverty line scheduled caste farmers through demonstration and training of advanced techniques of pig farming, vermicomposting, mushroom production, nutri-garden, contract farming and on farm value addition of raw mango. The institute will also help to convert agricultural waste into pig fodder. During the meeting the farmers agreed to set up a self-help group of scheduled caste farmers.

दिनांक 20 जून, 2018 को पूर्वाहन 09:30 बजे से संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों, अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों तथा आस-पास के क्षेत्रों के किसानों ने भारत के माननीय प्रधानमंत्री, श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी द्वारा देश के किसानों से की गयी सीधी वार्ता को डी.डी. किसान चैनल पर संस्थान के प्रेक्षागृह में देखा। इस वार्ता के अंतर्गत माननीय प्रधानमंत्री महोदय ने गुजरात, राजस्थान, बंगाल, मणिपुर आदि प्रदेशों के किसानों द्वारा मछली पालन, बागवानी, पशुपालन, कुकुट पालन आदि के द्वारा किसान कैसे अपनी आय दुगुनी कर रहे हैं, इसकी विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की | इस अवसर पर दिए गए सम्बोधन में माननीय प्रधान मंत्री महोदय ने आशा व्यक्त की कि वर्ष 2022 तक भारत के किसानों की आमदनी दुगुनी करनी है जिसके लिए अथक प्रयास किया जा रहा है | उन्होंने कहा कि किसानों को यदि आय दुगुनी करनी है तो उन्हें नवीनतम प्रोद्योगिकियों तथा तकनीकों का इस्तेमाल करना होगा | इस अवसर पर संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों, अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों तथा किसानों सहित दो सौ सौ से अधिक लोग सम्मिलित हुए।

On June 20, 2018, at 09:30 AM, the scientists, officers, staff and farmers of nearby areas of the institute watched Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi talking to the farmers directly about the methods they have used to double their income on DD Kisan channel. In course of his address, Hon’ble PM talked with the farmers of West Bengal, Gujarat, Rajasthaan, Manipur, etc states. He was full of praise for the farmers who have ventured into agriculture inspite of having professional graduation degrees. Shri Narendra Modi Ji suggested the farmers to use latest technologies for doubling their income. He informed that the Central government is leaving no stone unturned so that the income of the farmers become double by 2022. On this occasion more than two hundred officers, staff and farmers were present. The farmers were very happy to listen to the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

एआईसीआरपी-फलों की क्यूआरटी बैठक दिनांक 11-13 अप्रैल, 2018 को आईसीएआर-सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ में आयोजित की गई। बैठक का उद्देश्य कृषि-जलवायु परिस्थितियों के आधार पर स्थान एवं आवश्यकतानुरूप प्रौद्योगिकियों का परीक्षण एवं सिफारिश करना था। क्यूआरटी की बैठक डॉ. एस. राजन, निदेशक, सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ के स्वागत सम्बोधन के साथ प्रारम्भ हुई। पद्मश्री डॉ. के.एल. चड्ढा की अध्यक्षता में हुई बैठक में अन्य विशिष्ट सदस्य डॉ. एस. मैती, डॉ. डी.एस. खुर्दिया, डॉ. बी.एम.सी. रेड्डी और डॉ. वी.एस. ठाकुर समिल्लित हुये। परियोजना समन्वयक डॉ. पी. पाटील, आईसीएआर-आईआईएचआर, बेंगलुरु ने एआईसीआरपी रिपोर्ट को विस्तार से प्रस्तुत किया। सीआईएसएच, लखनऊ के एआईसीआरपी-फलों के नोडल अधिकारी, डॉ. के.के. श्रीवास्तव, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने बताया कि भारत के हर हिस्से से आम, अमरूद और लीची के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर काम करने वाले 40 से अधिक वैज्ञानिकों ने क्यूआरटी की समीक्षा के दौरान 2011 से 2017 की अवधि में किए गए विभिन्न प्रयोगों की प्रगति पर चर्चा करने के लिए भाग लिया। आम, अमरूद और लीची के 80 प्रयोगों की विस्तृत रूप में चर्चा हुई। विशेषज्ञों ने आम, अमरूद, लीची और अन्य फलों की खेती से जुड़े प्रगतिशील किसानों के साथ बातचीत की। किसानों ने दशहरी की कम कीमत, आम और अमरूद के कीट/व्याधि आदि के लिए चिंता व्यक्त की। विशेषज्ञ वैज्ञानिकों ने ई-विपणन के माध्यम से कृषि आय बढ़ाने के लिए किसानों को जागरूक भी किया।

QRT meeting of AICRP -Fruits was held during April 11-13, 2018 at ICAR-CISH, Lucknow. The objective of the meeting was to testing and recommending of location and need based technology depending on agro-climatic conditions. QRT meeting started with welcome remark of Dr. S. Rajan, Director, CISH Lucknow. Meeting held under the Chairmanship of Padmashri Dr. K.L. Chadha. Other distinguished members were Dr. S. Maiti, Dr. D.S. Khurdia, Dr. B.M.C Reddy and Dr. V.S. Thakur. Project Coordinator Dr. P. Patil, ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru submitted the AICRP Report in detail. Nodal Officer of AICRP-Fruits of Lucknow, Dr. K.K. Srivastava, Principal Scientist, told that more than 40 scientists working on different aspects of mango, guava and litchi fruits from every part of India participated to discuss the progress made in different experiments from 2011 to 2017 during the review of QRT. A total of 80 experiments of mango, guava and litchi were discussed in length and breadth. Experts had interactions with progressive farmers associated with cultivation of mango, guava, litchi and other fruits. Farmers expressed concern for low price of Dashehari, insect, pest and disease of guava, and mango etc. Expert scientists also told trick to the farmers for increasing farm income through E-marketing.

Annual Review Meeting of DUS

डीयूएस की वार्षिक समीक्षा बैठक का आयोजन

भाकृअनुप-केन्द्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ एवं आईसीएआर-आईआईएसआर, लखनऊ में दिनांक 15-17 जनवरी , 2018 को पौधा किस्म और कृषक अधिकार संरक्षण प्राधिकरण, नई दिल्ली ने डीयूएस की वार्षिक समीक्षा बैठक का आयोजन किया। डॉ एस. राजन, निदेशक ने फल वृक्षों के डीयूएस परीक्षणों के ऑन साइट प्रणालियों का मानकीकरण किये जाने की आवश्यकता के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला जिससे फल वृक्षों का परीक्षण 2 वर्षों में पूरा किया जा सके। बैठक के दौरान आम, कागजी नींबू और अखरोट किस्मों के ऑन-साइट प्रमाणन की प्रगति की समीक्षा की गयी। संस्थान द्वारा किसानों को फल किस्मों के पंजीकरण के लिए तकनीकी सहायता प्रदान की गयी।

The ICAR-CISH organized the Annual DUS Review Meeting on January, 15-17, 2018 at ICAR-IISR, Lucknow. Dr. S. Rajan, Director underlined the need to standardize on-site test methodology of DUS testing of fruit tree crops for completing the testing in 2 years which usually takes more time due to long juvenile period. Progress on on-site certification of mango, kagji lime and walnut varieties were reviewed during the meeting. During the meet, it was observed that the Institute should provide technical assistance to facilitate the farmers’ variety registration.

27th Meeting of Institute Management Committee (IMC) संस्थान प्रबंधन समिति की 27 वीं बैठक

संस्थान में दिनांक 20 दिसंबर, 2017 को संस्थान प्रबंधन समिति की 27 वीं बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। निदेशक डॉ. शैलेंद्र राजन ने अपनी प्रारंभिक टिप्पणी में संस्थान की प्रगति का विस्तृत विवरण दिया। श्री आर एन मल्लिक, वरिष्ठ प्रशासनिक अधिकारी ने कार्रवाई की गई रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की। डॉ. मनीष मिश्रा, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक ने "फार्मर फर्स्ट" की उपलब्धियाँ प्रस्तुत की। समिति के समक्ष कुल सात स्वीकृत एजेंडाओं को प्रस्तुत किया गया। डॉ. अमरेश चंद्र, प्रभागाध्यक्ष, पादप दैहिकी विभाग, भा.कृ.अनु.प.- भारतीय गन्ना अनुसंधान संस्थान, लखनऊ, डॉ. बी.एल. राम, प्रमुख बागवानी, बागवानी निदेशालय, उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार, डॉ. नीलिमा गर्ग, प्रभागाध्यक्ष, तुड़ाई उपरांत प्रबंधन विभाग और डॉ. घनश्याम पांडेय, प्रभागाध्यक्ष, फसल उत्पादन विभाग बैठक के दौरान उपस्थित थे।

Institute organized 27th meeting of Institute Management Committee (IMC) on 20th December, 2017. Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director in his introductory remark gave detailed account of the progress made by Institute since last IMC meeting. Action taken report was presented by Sri R. N. Mallik, Senior Administrative Officer. Dr. Maneesh Mishra, Principal Scientist and special invitee of IMC made presentation on achievements of Farmer FIRST project. A total of 7 agenda items were presented before the committee which was approved. Dr. Amresh Chandra, Head, Plant Physiology, ICAR-IISR, Lucknow, Dr. B.L. Ram, Chief Horticulturist, Directorate of Horticulture, Govt. of UP., Dr. Neelima Garg, Head PHM Division and Dr. G. Pandey, Head, Crop Production were present during the meeting.

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान, लखनऊ की २२वीं अनुसंधान सलाहकार समिति की बैठक डॉ. बी.एस. चुण्डावत (पूर्व-वीसी नवसारी कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, गुजरात) की अध्यक्षता में दिनांक २८ नवम्बर २०१७ को आयोजित की गयी। डॉ. डब्ल्यू.एस. ढिल्लन (उप महानिदेशक, उद्यान विज्ञान, भा.कृ.अनु.प.), डॉ. के.के. जिंदल (पूर्व-उप महानिदेशक, उद्यान विज्ञान, भा.कृ.अनु.प.), डॉ. एन.एस. पसरीचा (पूर्व-निदेशक, भारतीय पोटाश संस्थान), डॉ. प्रेम शंकर सिंह (प्रभागाध्यक्ष-कीट विज्ञान, बनारस हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालय), डॉ. एस. राजन (निदेशक, के.उ.बा.सं.), आर.एम. खान (सदस्य सचिव, आर.ए.सी.), संबंधित विभागों के प्रमुख और संस्थान के वैज्ञानिको ने इस बैठक में भाग लिया। अनुसंधान सलाहकार समिति ने संस्थान के पिछले एक वर्ष के शोध कार्यक्रमों की समीक्षा की एवं भविष्य के शोध कार्यक्रमों पर चर्चा की।

The twenty-second meeting of the Research Advisory Committee of ICAR-Central Institute for subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow was held on November, 28, 2017 at its Rehmankhera campus under the chairmanship of Dr. B.S. Chundawat (Ex-VC, Navsari Agriculture University, Gujrat). Drs. W.S. Dhillon (ADG-HS-II, ICAR), K. K. Jindal (Ex-ADG-HS, ICAR), N. S. Pasricha (Ex-Director, Indian Potash Institute), Prem Shankar Singh (Head, Dept. of Entomology, BHU) members of RAC, S. Rajan (Director, CISH), R.M. Khan (Member Secretary, RAC), Heads of respective divisions as well as scientists of institute participated in the deliberations. RAC committee critically reviewed the on-going research programmes of the institute were carried out during past one year future programmes and offered inputs for further refinement.

सीआईएसएच कृषि विज्ञान केन्द्र, मालदा में दिनांक 11.09.2017 को डीएएसईआई कोर्स की बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम के शुभारम्भ में डॉ. दीपक नायक (प्रभारी, सीआईएसएच केवीके) ने डीएएसईआई बैठक के अध्यक्ष डॉ मानस घोष (निदेशक, एसएएमटीआई, कोलकाता) और अन्य अधिकारियों का स्वागत किया। डॉ घोष ने पाठ्यक्रम के दिशा निर्देश और इसकी सफलता के बारे में बताया। परियोजना निदेशक, एटीएमए, मालदा, उप निदेशक, कृषि विस्तार, यूबीकेवी, प्रभारी प्रमुख यूबीकेवी आरआरएस, मजिहान, यूबीकेवी आरआरएसएस, मानिकचक, मालदा कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र और जिला के अन्य अधिकारियों ने बैठक में भाग लिया और अक्टूबर, 2017 से सीआईएसएच- कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र, मालदा में शुरू किये जाने वाले डीएईएसई पाठ्यक्रम को अग्रसरित करने के लिए चर्चा की।

The meeting on DAESI course was held on 11.09.17 at CISH Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malda. At the outset, Dr Dipak Nayak (In charge, CISH KVK) welcomed to Dr. Manas Ghosh (Director, SAMETI, Kolkata), the chairman of meeting on DAESI and other officials. Dr. Ghosh narrated the guidelines, success story of the course and necessary instructions. Project Director, ATMA, Malda, Deputy Director of Extension, UBKV, In-charge Heads of UBKV RRS, Majihan, UBKV RRSS, Manikchak, Malda Krishi Vigyan Kendra and other district officials attended the meeting and had discussion in finalizing the away forwards for DAESI course to be started at CISH Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malda from October, 2017.

1st SAC Meeting of CISH KVK, Malda

सी.आई.एस.एच.- कृषि विज्ञान केन्द्र, मालदा की वैज्ञानिक सलाहकार समिति की प्रथम बैठक की पूर्व संध्या पर डा. शैलेन्द्र राजन, निदेशक सी.आई.एस.एच. लखनऊ, डा. पी.पी. पाल, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक, भा.कृ.अ.प. अटारी, कोलकाता एवं अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों की उपस्थिति में दिनांक 14.7.2017 को स्वामी विश्वमायानन्दा जी महाराज, सचिव रामकृष्ण मिशन, सरगाची द्वारा नवस्वीकृत की गयी परियोजना एवं सी.आई.एस.एच.- कृषि विज्ञान केन्द्र, मालदा की पहल के फलस्वरूप नवनिर्मित तालाब में चार प्रकार की मछलियों के संग्रहण द्वारा एकीकृत कृषि प्रणाली प्रतिमान का उद्घाटन किया गया।

दिनांक 14.7.2017 को आयोजित सी.आई.एस.एच.- कृषि विज्ञान केन्द्र, मालदा की वैज्ञानिक सलाहकार समिति की प्रथम बैठक में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में स्वामी विश्वमायानन्दा जी महाराज, डा. एस. राजन, डा. पी.पी. पाल, कृषि विभाग के जिला प्रशासनिक प्रमुख, मतस्य विभाग, नाबार्ड, मालदा कृषि विज्ञान केन्द्र, गैर सरकारी संगठन, प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादक एवं आदिवासी कृषक महिलाओं ने भाग लिया। सभी अतिथियों एवं प्रतिभागियों ने सी.आई.एस.एच.- कृषि विज्ञान केन्द्र के भविष्य की योजना एवं उम्मीदों पर अपने विचार प्रकट किये।

In the eve of 1st Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting of CISH Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malda, the newly sanctioned project and initiative of ICAR-CISH RRS, Malda for establishment of Integrated Farming System Models was inaugurated through stocking of 4 types of fishes in newly renovated/ developed ponds by Swami Viswamayananda Ji Maharaj (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi) on 14.07.17 in the presence of Dr. S. Rajan (Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow), Dr. P. P. Pal (Principal Scientist, ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata) and other dignitaries.

Swami Viswamayananda Ji Maharaj was the Chief Guest in the maiden Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting of CISH Krishi Vigyan Kendra held on 14.7.2017. Dr. S. Rajan, Dr. P. P. Pal, District Administrative heads of Department of Agriculture, Department of Fisheries, NABARD, Malda KVK, NGO, progressive mango growers and tribal farm women were attended the programme. Group meeting with bee keepers

ICAR-CISH Regional Research Station, Malda, W. B. organized a group meet with beekeepers of Malda district on 22.01.17 at Malda Beekeeping & Honey Processing Industrial Co-operative society Ltd in the presence of Dr. R. K. Thakur (Project Coordinator, AICRP on Honey Bee and Pollinators, IARI, New Delhi), Dr. S. K. Shukla (Principal Scientist, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow), Dr. Dipak Nayak (Scientist & In-charge, ICAR CISH Regional Research Station, Malda) and others. Very fruitful discussion was held on problems of beekeeping and their probable solutions and away forward. More than 15 progressive beekeepers attended the meet and urged to ICAR-CISH Regional Research Station, Malda for technical support in scientific beekeeping and honey processing. International Soil Day celebration (Dec5, 2016)

The ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Rehmankhera, Lucknow celebrated the International Soil Day on December 5, 2016. On the occasion, soil health cards were distributed amongst the farmers of the Mohammadnagar Talukedari village under Malihabad Tehsil, Lucknow. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ghanshyam Pandey, Incharge Head and Principal Scientist, Crop Production Division delivered a lecture on the importance of soil health in view of production and productivity of fruit crops. Dr. Ram Awadh Ram, Principal Scientist addressed the farmers and appraised them about the significance of organic farming. Dr. Tarun Adak and Dr. Atul Singha, scientists of the Institute, displayed the method of pH testing and soil sampling to the farmers. Agriculture Education Day (3 Dec, 2016)

Agriculture Education Day was celebrated on 03.12.2016 at two Schools located in Kanar & mallihabad, Lucknow on the eve of birth anniversary of Bharat Rathna Dr. Rajendra Prasad with aim of strengthening future agriculture of the country and attract youth towards agricultural education. The objective of this day was to expose students including schools to various facets of agriculture and inspire and attract them towards agriculture, so that they develop interest in agriculture and allied subjects to engage themselves in agriculture and related activities or become Agrientrepreneurs in future. कृषि शिक्षा दिवस 2016, भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद्, नई दिल्ली से प्राप्त परिपत्र संख्या 1-10/2016 शि.यो. एवं गृ.वि. दिनांक 29 नवम्बर, 2016 के अनुपालन में डॉ. देवेंद्र पांडेय, प्रधान वैज्ञानिक एवं प्रभारी अध्यक्ष, फसल सुधर एवम जैवप्रौद्योगिकी प्रभाग की अध्यक्षता में एक चार सदस्यीय दल ने दिनांक 03 दिसम्बर, 2016 को कृषि शिक्षा दिवस के अवसर पर लखनऊ के कनार स्थित विद्यास्थली तथा मलिहाबाद स्थित जी.जी.आई.सी. विद्यालयों में विद्यार्थियों के लिए कृषि शिक्षा के महत्व विषय पर निबंध प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया | इस प्रतियोगिता का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में कृषि शिक्षा के महत्व को बढ़ावा देना था | प्रतियोगिता के पश्चात डॉ. देवेंद्र पांडेय एवं श्री धीरज शर्मा, सहायक निदेशक (राजभाषा) ने कृषि शिक्षा एवं उसके महत्व पर उपस्थित विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरणार्थक व्याख्यान के माध्यम से जानकारी प्रदान की | व्याख्यान उपरांत विद्यार्थियों ने कृषि शिक्षा से संबंधित अनेक प्रश्न पूछे जिसका अधिकारियों ने यथोचित उत्तर दिया गया | इस कार्यक्रम के सफल सञ्चालन में डॉ. विनोद कुमार सिंह, सहायक मुख्य तकनीकी अधिकारी तथा डॉ. बालाजी राजकुमार, वैज्ञानिक ने भी योगदान दिया | Event Date:- 03-12-2016

Nutri-smart villages under TSP

Tribal farmers from 17 tribal villages from Malda and 9 tribal villages from Murshidabad joined hand with ICAR-CISH-RRS, Malda for acquiring nutritional security and enhanced profitability by creating Nutri-Smart village. A whopping number of tribal families (1150) came forward for establishing orchard of fruit crops such as mango, guava, jamun and bael along with kitchen garden comprising of 8-10 different vegetables. Nutri-smart villages will have composting units and water harvesting structure for sustainable production of fruits, vegetables, poultry and fishes. These adopted families under Tribal Sub Plan will not only get nutritional assurance from home grown fruit and vegetables but will be able to get required animal protein from poultry and fish. The farm waste will be diverted towards the poultry and as fish feed. The targeted families can exchange surplus produce with community members or earn extra bucks from selling this surplus produce to local market. Nutri-smart village initiative can change the face of tribal population of west Bengal with sustainable effort. The initiative was inaugurated by Mr. Abdur Rezzak Mollah (Hon’ble Minister In-charge, Department of FPI & Horticulture, Govt. of West Bengal) on September 16, 2016 at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi, Berhampore in presence of Dr. S. Rajan (Director, CISH, Lucknow), Swami Viswamayananda Ji (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi) Dr. P.K. Pramanick (Director of Horticulture, Govt. of West Bengal) and other dignitaries. Celebration of Hindhi Diwas at CISH

Hindi Pakhwara started with the Hindi Diwas on 14-09-2016 under the chairmanship of Dr. S. Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH. In his inaugural address he emphasised the need for using hindi in day today official communication. Shri Dhiraj Sharma, A.D. (Hindi), talked about different methods for enhancing the use of hindhi in official communications along with the various programme to be organised in the hindi pakhwara. In the programme, special lectures were given by ICAR-CISH staffs Dr Ghanshyam Pandey and Dr Devendra Pandey, on method of popularization of hindi in offices as well as in daily routine. संस्थान द्वारा कृषि निदेशालय (फल,) मुर्शिदाबाद के सहयोग से प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादकों की एक बैठक का आयोजन 28 मई, 2016 को किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का उदघाटन स्वामी विशोमयानंद जी (सचिव) राम कृष्ण मिशन आश्रम, (सरगाची) द्वारा किया गया। इस बैठक के दौरान 56 प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादक उपस्थित थे। स्वामी विशोमयानंद जी ने उदघाटन संबोधन दिया। जबकि डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन ने की-नोट एड्रेस किया। मुर्शिदाबाद जिले के आम में होने वाले उत्पादन तथा विपणन संबंधी समस्याओं के निदान के लिये प्रगतीशील उत्पादकों तथा वैज्ञानिकों के बीच संवाद का एक सत्र आयोजित किया गया। डॉ. गौतम राय, उप निदेशक कृषि (फल) ने मुर्शिदाबाद में होने वाले आम के उत्पादन तथा विपणन संबंधी विषय पर व्याख्यान दिया। डॉ. दीपक नायक ने अपने संबोधन में क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र मालदा द्वारा आम के संरक्षण तथा स्थानीय किस्मों के दस्तावेजीकरण संबंधी योजना पर संक्षेप में जानकारी दी।

Progressive Mango Growers Meet was organized by the Institute at Berhampore, Murshidabad on May 28, 2016 in collaboration with Directorate of Agriculture (Fruits), Murshidabad (West Bengal). The programme was inaugurated by Swami Viswamayananda Ji Maharaj (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi, Murshidabad). Fifty Six progressive mango growers were present in the meet. Swami Viswamayanand Ji delivered his inaugural lecture, whereas, key note address was delivered by Dr. S. Rajan. An interaction session between progressive growers and scientists was organized to understand their problems in production and marketing of mango at Murshidabad district. Dr. Goutam Roy, Deputy Director of Agriculture (Fruits), Murshidabad deliberated on problems of production and marketing of mango at Murshidabad district. Dr. Dipak Nayak addressed the mango growers and briefed the future plan of ICAR-CISH-RRS, Malda for conservation and documentation of local varieties of mango.

मालदा में प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादकों की बैठक

संस्थान द्वारा कृषि निदेशालय (फल,) मालदा के सहयोग से प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादकों की एक बैठक का आयोजन 27 मई, 2016 को किया गया। इसका उदघाटन संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन द्वारा किया गया। बैठक के दौरान 60 प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादक, उपनिदेशक कृषि (फल) के कार्यालय के प्रतिनिधि, मालदा, रतुआ आम उत्पादक संघ यू.बी.के.बी-आर.आर.एस.एस-मानिक चक तथा कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र मालदा के प्रतिनिधि सम्मिलित हुए। अपने उदघाटन संबोधन में संस्थान के निदेशक ने उत्पादकों को केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान के क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र मालदा की गतिविधियों की जानकारी दी। डॉ. राहुल चक्रवर्ती उपनिदेशक कृषि (फल), मालदा ने उपस्थित लोगों को मालदा के आम उद्योग की जानकारी दी।

ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organized a Progressive Mango Growers Meet at its Regional Research Station, Malda, West Bengal. on May 27, 2016 in association with Directorate of Agriculture (Fruits), Malda. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S. Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow. Sixty progressive mango growers, representatives from office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture (Fruits), Malda, Ratua Mango Growers Association, UBKV-RRSS, Manikchak and KVK, Malda were present during the meet. Dr. Rajan in his inaugural lecture briefed the growers regarding activities of CISH-RRS, Malda. Dr. Rahul Chakraborty, Deputy Director of Agriculture (Fruits), Malda also delivered a lecture on present status of mango industry at Malda

Interface Meeting on Packaging of Mango

आम पैकेजिंग की बैठक

केंद्रीय उपोष्ण बागवानी संस्थान के क्षेत्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र, मालदा द्वारा आम की पैकेजिंग पर 27 मई, 2016 को इंटरफेस बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। इस बैठक में इंस्टर्न इण्डिया कौरूगेटेड बाक्स मैनुफैक्चरर एसोसिएशन के 15 पैकेजिंग उद्योग के प्रतिनिधि, मालदा मैंगो मर्चेंट चैम्बर आफ कौमर्स यू.बी.के.वी-आर.आर.एक, मनीचक तथा कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र मालदा के प्रतिनिधि तथा 60 प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादक सम्मिलित हुए। इस अवसर पर डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन ने की-नाट एड्रेस दिया। डॉ. चक्रवर्ती उपनिदेशक कृषि (फल), मालदा ने आम के पैकेजिंग और उसके महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। पैकेजिंग उद्योग के प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा इस अवसर पर आम के पैकेजिंग की तकनीकी जानकारी प्रदान की गयी। उन्होंने प्रगतिशील आम उत्पादकों को पैकेजिंग के तरीके तथा सी.एफ.डी. बक्सों में आम के पैकेजिंग कैसे किये जाए की जानकारी दी।

An interface meeting on Packaging of Mango was organized at ICAR-CISH-RRS, Malda on May 27, 2016. Sixty progressive mango growers, representatives from 15 packaging industries under Eastern India Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association, Malda Mango Merchant Chamber of Commerce, UBKV-RRSS, Manikchak and KVK, Malda participated in the meeting. Dr. S. Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH, Lucknow delivered the key note address. Dr. Rahul Chakraborty, Deputy Director of Agriculture (Fruits), Malda spoke on packaging of mango and its importance. Technical details regarding packaging of mango was described by the representatives of packaging industries. They have also shown the hands on practices and uses of CFB boxes for packaging of mango to progressive mango growers
