A caterpillar has been found infesting flowers and immature fruits of mango in Kakori-Malihabad-Mal mango belt of Lucknow (U.P.). This type of caterpillar was found infesting mango earlier also. The larvae are being collected and reared for its identification. This insect can be managed by spraying quinalphos 25 E.C. (0.05%) @ 2 ml/litre of water. Further work on identification of this pest is in progress.
