          Bagging is a physical protection technique; applied to enhance fruit appearance, fruit quality, fruit size, free from chemical residue, insect infestation and mechanical scars. During rainy season 2-3 insecticide are required to spray for fruit fly control and 2-3 sprays for anthracnose, styler end rot and fruit rot diseases. However, if fruits are bagged, no sprays are required to control the pest and disease. Bagged harvested fruits are free from disease and insect scar, attractive fruit surface; large in size with uniform yellow with distinct red blushed, such fruits are sold at premium price. The cost benefit ratio worked out for bagged fruit is 3:8.
